How's iOS 11 running on your device

No critical failures but really miss when iOS didn’t have strange UI issues.

iOS 11 is “quirky”.

I absolutely agree, a lot of visual glitches throughout iOS 11.2 on the iPhone X, hope they polish these annoying bugs in the upcoming software update.

yeah truth be told I believe overall animations affected performance on ios 11 honestly all I'm currenty on ios 11.2 and all I see is pressing home screen within apps to go home makes a dancing stutter which is quite funny you'd think it was incorporated into the ios but no it's a lag because the app is struggling to sit back in although ios 11.2 has seen a little change in performance but it isn't very much okay yet there's still lags and animations stutters

accurate !!!
[doublepost=1512492285][/doublepost]View attachment 740376 View attachment 740377 View attachment 740378 my report to apple bug reporter haven't seen the fix for lags and stutters yet so i'll keep texting them until we see a better change on ios 11
There’s some new information which has come out. Apparently Apple is intentionally throttling a section of iPhone 6,6s and 7. Can you run a Geekbench on your iPhone 6 to confirm if you have the problem?

I hate it.

the iCloud photos are not downloading from the iCloud. I've tried logging out of the Apple ID and back in. doesn't work. there are a bunch of other issues that have come up so I'm currently restoring my phone from the last able back up (currently before this, also can't back up to iCloud) and crossing my fingers.

such instances are, when in lock screen and I can't use faceID to log in, the keyboard is either super light or altogether missing so I have to "guess" where on the screen the correct letters/numbers are to unlock my phone.

there are times the phone freezes and I have to restart the phone. it's not even a matter of force quitting the app (can't do that either in that frozen state).

if I press the up and down button on the side, for volume, I can't see the level it's at...

just a bunch of little nusiances that I've never had before...at least not to a degree where I'm frustrate enough to start over from scratch.

Have to agree more and more.
IPhone 7+ - have gone through two complete reset as new. It’s slower, battery 70% of iOS 10, appointments don’t always show in the calendar, load delays with stock email, RAM manager problems (app/tab reloads), double sound alerts in iMessage, etc ...
IPP 12.9 G2 - reduced battery life, freezes in Safari, iMessage alerts intermittent, GUI slower, etc ...

I have become used to growing bug issues as iOS evolves - which should not be the case - but it is like iOS 11 has reached a new level. Not sure where I go from here. I dislike the design, and price, of the X.

:(

First few versions were horrible, it’s much nicer now but the battery remains a real issue on iPhone 7. Only a year old as well.

I'm a heavy iPhone user, and have been since I got my iPhone 4.
I'm also an iPhone X owner, and I have to say, iOS has never been as bad as it is at the moment.

There is so much confused nonsense going on with iOS 11 at the moment it's insane. Half the time the apps feel like they are in virtual environments where the gestures don't work like their suppose to in the normal OS.

I don't want people to think that the phone is unstable or that it's constantly hard locking, like my 6, my girlfriends 6 and my mates now laggy 7. But the whole thing is a confused mess. Force touch works great! Then it does nothing, then it does something random!
Why does sometimes dragging up from the bottom corner go to multi tasking, why does swiping up on an open program in the multi tasking screen not close it?
Why is there a little special back button in the top left hand corner, when you can swipe back along the bottom, which is both easier to reach and has no chance of interacting with what ever app your using?
Why do notifications still take up so much space?
Why, when reading something on a website or in reader mode, does the black home swipe bar thing need to be constantly displayed?

Haven't had many issues to be honest. I did have some battery life problems when I ran the beta on my 6S Plus. The speed limit and lane guidance was one of the most helpful updates in iOS 11.

100% correct. Basically every single problem with the iPhone X is a software problem - reachability, the “home button” swipe bar in landscape mode, control centre, the cramped top bar, the pointless 3D Touch camera button on the lock screen, etc etc.
The one hardware controversy - the notch - would be fine if iOS implemented it correctly.

Makes you wonder if Apple is there own worst enemy. If they had not gone the notch route rather stayed with the top bezel, they would have reduced the number of issues? o_O

How is the "pointless" 3D Touch camera button on the lock screen a problem? What's the problem with reachability?

My experience has been great. On my 6s, my X and my wife's 8+ so we're very happy. My son's X is running great also and he has no IOS 11 issues.

Mine has been running smoothly on all updates. Battery life is good also. When I can put it down.

I think they're trying to please everyone, instead of following their own compass, knowing what consumers want before they know they want it. It seems they're just trying to grasp at the wind hoping to catch something.

you see why I keep saying ios 11 is the epitome of lags and slowdowns its been confirmed apple slows down your phone intentionally as battery begins to wear out without even letting the user know which is very bad

And yet that particular power management part of it stated back in iOS 10.

What's your current overall experience of iOS 11 across all your iOS devices?!

-Views,opinions, problems and feedbacks are all allowed in this thread
-How would you rate current iOS 11 release version on a scale of 1-10
-Answer the poll above
-Has iOS 11 helped your daily phone usage in anyway ?
-Has iOS 11 completely rendered your device useless?!
-Has iOS 11 become so laggy and sluggish on your devices ?!

my phone is a 12.9 ipad pro and an older 9.7 ipad pro. Both have been reduced to uselessness by ios11. $2000 worth of ipads, rendered garbage by this upgrade. I’m trying to think of some functionality that I use that didn’t get ruined in ios11, and i can’t think of a single thing. Every damn thing I use an ios device for has either broken, become so unstable it’s pointless to try it, or has become so klugey and unitnuitive it might as well not exist. iOS has felt like it’s been in steady decline fir a long time, but with 11 it has gone to absolute crap, and I now actually hate having to use these to do my work. I dug out my ipad mini 4 with ios10, and it all works. Back to a pro on 11, and, camera locks up with every photo, control center is sporadic, multitaskings still broken, podcasts are in total chaos, videos end up stuck in camera roll, share sheet contains no useful options, files app is a pointless exercise in redundancy, icloud deleted half the data in my contacts upon upgrading, maps never works ever, cellular connectivity shows full strength but no data can ever actually get through, autocorrect is bonkers, keyboard locks up & crashes every app, and on and on and on it goes. If I could jailbreak these things and downgrade them, I would, I don’t even care about security. Right now they’re in maximum security, because they’re dead paperweights.

Thanks for pestering me to let your upgrade ruin my computers, and then deny me the option to fix them, Apple. Every time the iOS experience gets worse, I swear it’s the last time I’m going through it, but after this, I can’t see spending more money on this junk.

since I updated the phone to iOS 11, the phone has being so laggy, too many bugs. Terrible!!! Buy on my iPhone X is very snappy. iOS 11 ruined the phone, if possible I would like to reinstall iOS 10 again without second thoughts.

iOS devices in this house are 2 iPhone 7+, 2 iPhone X, 2 iPad Pro 12.9, 1 iPad Pro 10.5. No problems on any of them.

iPhone SE: Extremely inconsistent, sometimes phone is ok, other times it's very choppy, stutters, there can be a freeze while you are typing and then your inputs show up later, and battery life drains significantly many times without using the phone.

I think the devices that are more affected are the iPhone 5s, 6 and 6s. I have a 6 plus that used to perform with flying colors with iOS 10.

Yes, battery life is terrible.

New issue - may have existed but didn’t see or notice. IMessage out of sequence. o_O

I send an iMessage to an iDevice person.
They reply.
I send a second message to the same person.
They immediately reply to my second message.
It will appear slotted above the message they replied to.

IMessages out of order?
