Yep its a fair deal of money Ive been saving for a few months. But I think Ill be pleased with this computer. Especially if they are even smoothing up the performance more as you said.

EDIT: I would definitely recommend getting more RAM, I find that games often eats up 4GB quite easy and I noticed a remarkable difference when I got 8GB for my old 2009... I havent even opened my new laptop yet but have already ordered 8GB from Dustin in sweden. Actually, what memory does your iMac use? I have 2x1GB 1066MHz lying around... :) and the iMac has 4 slots instead of two,no?

Yep, my mac has 4 slots. I currently have 4GB inside my iMac! But its shared so 2GB on one slot and 2GB on the other slot!

What type is it? is it SO-DIMM 1066MHz? Ive got 2 of those 1GB, that would get you 6GB, which would help, shipping would cost 30:- SEK

Wonder if my machine will run it... This was top spec in 2009 but not so sure it can handle todays games. Skyrim was extrememly laggy...

27" iMac late 2009
Intel Quad-Core 2.8 GHz i7
8GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512MB of GDDR3 SDRAM

Looking at the spec requirements I'd imagine it would be fine, but like I said, Skyrim really struggled on this machine.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
Skyrim is a game with really high system requirements, Diablo 3 is not that high. You can handle it.

Going to preorder my copy of Diablo 3 today. I don't think there will be a problem for me to play it with Low FX on. Can't wait to play Diablo 3.

do you guys think my MacBook Air can run this? it's the late 2010 edition, 4 gb of ram, core 2 duo. all the same specs as the stock version, except with the extra 2 gb of ram. any thoughts?

i played the open beta and it was terribly laggy on my machine. however, I read some people say that Blizzard might really upgrade the way it runs before release date. any help or opinions would are welcome and appreciated!

Pretty sure my computer fits the requirements but wanted to double check.

Macbook Pro (Early 2011)
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB

Also, anyone play the beta with my specs? How did it run?

Why is not my Mac Pro supported with a 2,66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon processor? That processor is as fast as any Core 2 Duo in my mind or ??
GPU is an 1 GB ATI Radeon 4870.

I downloaded D3 but when I try to install it says D3 lacks support on this machine :(

So who else has a computer that can't run it and is going to buy the new 15" macbook pro that comes out this summer just to play one computer game?

How bout mine?

Not sure if mine can. Any recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
MacBook Pro
13-inch, Early 2011 (1280 x 800)
Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3
320 GB SATA Disk

I have the first Mac Pro with the same processor as you and it's running D3 just fine. My video card is the radeon hd 5770 so maybe that's a factor.

Anyone try with a early 08 penryn macbook pro or a mac with similar specs? It's 2.4 ghz c2d, 4 gb ram, and 8600m gt. Planning to run it strictly in boot camp.

I'm also considering getting this game, but wont buy it, if it can be determined, that my MBP cannot run it in a decent manor.

Mid 2010 15" MBP
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB

I cannot seem to get a result @ www.systemrequirementslab.com running OSX 10.7.4 with either Safari, Chrome or FF (Stalls af "Gathering Information..."), but in bootcamp running Win 7 64 bit, i get a decent score within the recommended requirements - Only minor disadvantage is the GFX.

Any feedback to my wonderings?

Thanks!

System Requirements Lab is only available for Windows not OSX.

I play it with High settings at 1680x1050 and get decent (30-40) FPS on my system in OSX.

Hi, i have the 13" latest macbook air, so I think I have the same graphics card as you

I haven't really got much time on the game so far since the servers keep crashing  but from what i've seen it runs fine on windows(boot camp) , but with all the graphics settings pretty low or just the minimum

good luck getting online though! :p

Diablo 3 runs smooth on HD3000 with the following settings:

TEXTURE QUALITY: LOW
SHADOW QUALITY: OFF
PHYSICS: LOW
CLUTTER DENSITY: OFF

ANTI-ALIASING: OFF
LOW FX: ON

RESOLUTION: 1024X640(16:10 WIDESCREEN)

I usually have between 30 to 50 fps. Enjoy.

The two men in my household are on their PC's playing Diablo III. I am sitting here with my 2009 Mac Mini. I suppose I can play in super low resolution. My husband says that I need a two button mouse - one for fighting and one for spells. Is anyone playing with an Apple mouse, or will I need to get a two button one?

You can probably enable the right-click on your mouse. Go to the System Preferences and click on Mouse, there should be an option right there.

That might be difficult if she only has a (really old) one button mouse...

Someone with Diablo 3 should see if you can reconfigure the game to use Spacebar or something to activate attacks. Otherwise, you could buy a wireless 2-4 button el-cheapo mouse. Which is probably the better alternative, as 2 buttons are useful for more than games, let alone just D3.

Running on high for everything except for shadows(on medium) and plays flawlessly.

I don't know if anyones Mac can run Diablo 3, or their Windows machine. The game has been down more than it has been up.

And people still say "Blizzard makes flawless games"

I don't think anybody has ever said Blizzard makes flawless server launches. That's always been the issue. A Blizzard game without battle.net issues on a launch day is just not a Blizzard game. Of course, this is stinging more since they decided to go with the always online model similar to Starcraft II. Yeah, it's an Auction House protection thing, but yeah, those who had to wait until after work today, to play, really got the worst of it.

Now a good bit of the battle.net site is down.

If you want to play right now go to option and then go to account and change the server to Asia but you would have to start over.

I have a magic mouse and i'm able to use left click and right click
