did you get your 17" C2D MBP yet?

WOOOT!
I ordered my MBP 17"/glossy on sunday night and I just got my shipping notice. I'm so happy I don't have to wait much longer. Yippie:)

ETA: Does fedex deliever on saturday?

Yes, if you pay us the Saturday Delivery surcharge. However, since this charge is payed by the shipper of the package and that, from what I have heard, Apple doesn't do this then you won't receive your shipment on a Saturday.
 
Mine has been "in transit" from Indianapolis since 5:34 am yesterday. Is there any way for me to know where it is? What exactly do they mean by "in transit"?

The estimated delivery is almost 2 hours ago. Where is it?!?

i ordered and payed for mine on the 1st of Nov and still have no idea when it's coming....longest...wait...ever..

Well, just got a call back from FedEx.

Apparently, despite making it to Memphis, maybe, the computer hasn't cleared customs. SOO... yesterday being a holiday, it will clear today. And then, maybe, will be here by Monday. Maybe.

SO, for all those who always assume that everything clears customs in Anchorage: YOU ARE WRONG.

And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take out my aggression on an inanimate object and then plan something else to do the rest of the weekend. Perhaps even outdoors, where the sun shines and I won't be further frustrated by something that was supposed to be an enjoyable experience.

Battletops, I suggest you do the same. Your MCP will arrive Monday. Maybe.
 
Well, my MPB finally left Indianapolis. Does it necessarily have to go to Memphis first, or is it going to right a local FedEx facility in my state?

I have joined the ranks of those waiting for a 17"/200 GB C2D Macbook Pro...

I ordered it on November 21, at 11:00 AM EST on the online Canadian Education Store (ultimate destination, Ottawa, Canada), and received notice today (November 24) that it had shipped. The FEDEX tracking number shows it has been picked up in Shanghai, so it is on the way. Not bad, given that the order time said 7-10 business days for shipping. It left Apple's hands in 3 days...

Now to see how long FEDEX takes to deliver... :)

I'll do some performance tests when it arrives...
 
Macconnection order shipped

Ordered my 17"MBP on 10/31 from Macconnection. After several delays, I was relieved to see the words "back-ordered" replaced with "shipped" on my order status page.

No tracking info from DHL yet, but it's conceivable that it could arrive on Monday (OH to RI).

Just an FYI for all my fellow non-Apple direct purchasers.
 
FYI, I ordered my 17" Glossy MBP C2D on Nov. 13 and it arrived in Anchorage today...Ultimate Dest: Central Florida for delivery sometime early next week
 
Mine finished its journey to Orlando today. I made arrangements with Apple and Fed Ex to go in and pick it up from the station tomorrow, despite not having at least one attempted delivery beforehand. Hallelujah!

Ordered my 17" Glossy on 6th November from Apple online store and received it in Brisbane on Thursday morning 23rd November.
 
Mine got here this morning and well, thank god.. I really couldn't wait any longer! I spent most of my day installing stuff on OS X and calibrating the battery and also installing Windows Vista.. so far everything is great :) .. now if only I could get right-click to work =/

Heh. The didn't have it at the local station. I'm still stuck waiting until Monday. I don't even have anyone to be mad at, so I'm just stuck being mad.
 
Yes, got my 17" MBP (originally ordered on the 30th) on Wed. 22nd -- a day earlier than expected. Stunning! And my [matte] screen is evenly lit, pixel perfect, and not discernably 'grainy'. Given all the complaints about the 15" MBP screen in other threads, I'm so glad I decided to go for more real estate at the cost of a (very) small drop in ease of carting it around.

The only fly in the ointment -- the battery stopped charging from the adaptor within 48hrs. :mad: But fortunately, another adaptor worked fine when I took the machine round to the uni. hardware support; so the problem isn't onboard but just a failed adaptor. :) Phoned Apple Friday 11 am. The UPS trackers reports that the replacement adaptor is on schedule to be delivered on Monday. Which is, to be fair, a very good response. So fingers crossed ....
 
Finally!

Just checked the order status page, and the MPB I ordered through a reseller (kinda like Macconection I would guess), has finally shipped today. Expected delivery is on the 5th of December. I am really hoping that it gets here earlier though, especially as I start editing a new project this Friday. I guess I'll have to do that on my old machine though - too bad really :(

Well - at least it's now on its way here. So I'm happy :)
 
Finally ordered and already shipped

After many months waiting for C2D, and further waiting to read your experiences with the new C2D, I finally ordered my 17 inch MBP on Tuesday night (21st). My order said it would ship between December 1 and 5. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised to get an email today saying my baby had shipped from China! I upgraded to 3 gb ram, with the 160 gb hard drive. I also ordered glossy, after going back and forth many times on whether to get matte or glossy. I loved the way glossy made the colors "pop" but I was concerned about reflections. But after reading many posts here from folks satisfied with their glossy screens, I bit the bullet and ordered glossy.
 
My expected delivery was just changed from the 5th of december to the 30th of November - which would mean this Thursday. Hope this holds true! December 1st in the morning would even be acceptable.

Got mine Friday :D Sweet machine, love the glossy screen(seems to be perfectly lit, though there is a single defective pixel at the bottom of the screen) and I'm loving OS X so far.

OK, I'm officially screwed, and will call Apple Edu again on Monday. This is just wrong. There are multiple others on this forum I could have quoted, I just picked this one--MBP ordered Nov. 21 and shipped Nov. 25.

Here's mine--ordered Oct. 25, Edu Institution purchase, still has not shipped and order still says on or before Dec. 4. So the one above was ordered 27 days after mine and has already shipped. Words fail me.

--17 inch MBP stock w/matte screen and extra power cord
Ordered 36 days ago, ships in 8 more days (I hope)--
