Try telling that to the verge. Apparently samsung need to release the S6 because it doesn't have a phone right now that can compete with the new iPhone lol

Was that in the ip6 review? I haven't read it yet, but just finished the ip6 plus review and thought it was pretty fair with some nods to the Note 4.

Agreed. Pierce seems to be all-in on Apple but Dieter and Nilay are often very critical of Apple, as was Josh Topolsky, their former EIC.

The quote for the Note is from an article. The quote for the iPhone is from a video. I don't know who the person reviewing the iPhone is as his face wasn't shown and I don't recognise the voice. Can anyone confirm whether or not the person speaking in the video is the same person who wrote the article?

and what about those that choose to not have iMessage activated, I know of quite a few iPhone owners who do this and have no interest in it being activated.

I told the bubble story to my wife and she laughed at how silly that sounds.

It's just pettyness. I bet it's only rich privileged girls who do it. ;)

Ugh lol that is puke worthy

I turned iMessage off when I was on iPhone, wonder what that means

SMS is more reliable :p

Funny how nearly everyone responding has all apple products in their sigs

I just sent my brother a text message "blue" with a link to the Apple Battery Replacement Program, for him to check if he is eligible. Funny thing, the message was not received. I emailed it to him instead.

Just referencing the reliability issue of iMessage.

I also lament handing my son our old iPhone and not getting a data plan, where we could us iMessage. I mean, pay money for SMS texting or pay for data.

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't seen the OP in the alternative section before.

lol, I didn't even realize the thread was moved. Sorry. I mostly hang out in the iPhone forums.

I did this once and it kind of hit home watching the mall walkers look at me like I was a complete moron. Cue 3 hours later and Apple telling me they didn't have my model in stock and I REALLY knew I was a moron, never again, my time is worth more than that.

I learned my lesson on the Xbox 360, 2005. Night of Thanksgiving. It wasn't too bad. I found a Costco without a line. I started about 11PM, everyone else went home. We didn't even line up until 4am. I became third in line. 6am a manager showed up and said that they won't open until later. He basically took our names down, gave each of us a number, and told us to come back when the store opened. Not a bad experience at all. Tired though.

Perhaps because this is an Apple-centric forum? I have more Android and Windows stuff than I do Apple (Android for mobile, Windows for computers) but they're not in my sig.

I'm positive I could/would. I do the same things on my iPhone that I did on all the Android devices I owned previously. For me they all do the same thing but appeal to different tastes. Simple as that.

All depends what you use it for at the end of the day I suppose

Indeed this is my point. People suggesting one phone is crap because it doesn't do some of the unusual things another does is just selective criticism. These devices all fulfil the basic user demands the market has dictated. If you want a phone to mess around with we all know Android gives us that freedom. The iPhone is just a really good phone that provides a nice user experience straight out the box, but you have to accept its not going to be as open to play around with. I'm a basic user these days so yes they all do the same thing for me :)

And? You aren't that good at math. The note 3 is massive compared with the 6+. Yes, we know that the 6+ is a bit taller.

Why don't you read Josh's review, then? He basically says that they are by far the 2 best phones in the market, just like every reviewer.

Apple certainly has the best marketing and self generating hype I've ever seen. I respect and love watching it all unfold. Not a fan of their phones anymore but certainly not a hater. In my case I just quickly outgrew the limited capabilities.

Samsung doesn't generate the hype and no doubt they wish they could. Every company trying to market socially is in the shadows of Apple, not just them.
