I'm probably jumping ship this year, not due to my iPhone 4S being outdated, rather due to it not working properly. Also, having used iOS devices since 4-5 years back, I have just gotten so bored with them. Moreover, iOS 6 was a complete joke, full of bugs. The 3GS was my best phone ever, but the 4S I cannot wait to get rid of. Ultimately, I would love to see Apple release a new iPhone, with a larger screen and completely revamped OS. However, it won't be happening.

Having said that I'm looking at either the GS4 or Xperia Z. I look forward to trying something new. Either of those 5" displays at Full HD will be quite an improvement from what I have now. :)

5 inch display is a big plus for me..need a far bigger screen than just a 4 like my iphone 5 has but everybody has different needs.

The Galaxy S4 display is better than the Xperia Z since the Xperia Z has quite poor viewing angles that washes out the display if you look at it from anything than straight on:

The only thing that lets it down is viewing angles - if you look at the Sony Xperia Z's screen, dead on, it's sharp enough. If you look at it from the side, it has a strange ability to look incredibly washed out.

Only battery life sucks, everything else is true.:apple:

My iPhone 5 lasts longer on battery than any other smartphone I've had (bar BB Bold 9900)....

Typically 9am - 11pm........ I make 30-50 minutes of calls daily. I send 20 - 30 text messages. I have 2 email accounts set to push. I use the camera daily. I listen to 20-30 minutes of Tunein Radio on 3G. I send emails and publish photos to facebook / twitter / instagram. I read pulse / currents to get my RSS feeds. Listen to 60 minutes of music on bluetooth headphones... At the end of the day I have between 45-60% left on my battery.

Same thing on my previous handsets from the last 24 months or so..

Samsung GS2, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE, HTC One X, HTC 8X, BB Torch 9860, Lumia 800, Nokia N9, they would all be very much around the 10% mark (if not dead) when I went to bed and put my phone on charge.... My iPhone 4 & 4S would be down to around 20-30%.....

The only thing I feel outdated on my iPhone is the screen size. So far these other features do not interest me.

The only reason why I will probably make a switch later this year to an Android phone is because Apple did not release a 4.8 inch or greater iPhone.

My Nexus 4, unplugged off charger in morning at 6:30am, don't have to plug back in until 10:00pm

I use it for business, tons of phone use, 2 - 3 hours of calls on average per day. Million texts a day, I'd say at least a 100. E-mail accounts on push. I use GPS Navigation at least 60-90 minutes a day. Plus just surfing the web a lot.

I get 5h On Screen time, and overall like 15 - 17 totally battery life per workday.

Yeah that's good, were getting near same screen on time too. Maybe it's LTE killing other peoples battery so fast ??? I don't have LTE and clearly your nexus 4 doesn't either so were getting decent battery peformance over those saying their battery sucks ?

LTE is a known battery drainer.

And Apple would like us to believe they're not worried about Samsung. Riiiiight.

Without jailbreak, the iPhone is a joke. A device that reeks limitation from every corner.

Yet you can't stop talking about it incessantly. If its so bad, why bother?

Complete bs about iphone getting 8hrs of browsing on LTE, and that was very disgusting how they try to sell the "retina" moniker.

I'm running 4.2.2 on my Nexus 4, it's been simply outstanding.

The amount of progress Android has made over the last 18 months is very satisfying indeed. It's a joy to use such a fast & comfortable smartphone.

Got to admit I do love the idea of the widgets on the lock screen. Mainly for me who is a huge NBA fan..having the option to have ESPN scorecenter on the lock screen so I just wake the phone up when I'm asleep is very handy as thats why I like the notifications on t he iphone getting my score updates...it does look good in other areas too though.

The scorecenter widget isn't all that great IMO....

I too follow the NBA closely. Besides the great feature you noted there's so much more. I believe it's a fundamental lack of knowledge that causes iPhone users to trash widgets. Besides their are several implementations of widgets that must be experienced for more than just a few days to fully appreciate their usefulness.

Besides widgets are but one of many unique benefits of the Android OS.

I still maintain that if Apple could reignite their passion for innovation they are fully capable of building in just as much, if not more excitement & functionality into their upcoming iPhones.

As somebody who has been on iphone for as long as I can remember moving to the S4 coming up will be a great change I reckon...

Still nice to have that option though....least you aren't being restricted.

It's funny, I don't feel restricted at all....

I know what my iPhone can do and accept it. Really there's not much I can't do (save for the customization stuff - which I couldn't care less about).

I find checking scores simple enough on my iPhone.

Oh it is but the bigger screen is a big plus for me..something I could do with.
