although the iPhone looks and feels classy, apple really needs to step up. i dont really consider a minor spec bump on the S4, yes it looks the same but the software features are amazing. For example the fact that the video pauses and resumes while you look away, better battery than the S3, air view, and the fact that you can "erase" people from photos. Also smart scroll and that you can use your phone while wearing gloves is pretty neat. Samsung is really stepping up. A Minor spec bump is from iPhone 4 to 4S. i love my iPhone 5 but i would've loved LTE on my iPhone 4S. NO OS is perfect, but Android does bring more to the table than iOS. I hope with Johnny Ive being in charge with iOS theres a change. i really think Apple can take some notes on the camera features S4 brings.

Just my 2 cents.

I find checking scores simple enough on my iPhone.

I'm sure you do but if you could do it faster or more easily or more efficiently you would wouldn't you? Who wouldn't want to accomplish the same tasks more easily?

That's sort of the point. Apple doesn't allow you to.

Heck apple can take notes from the jail break community. I'm using zephyr and auxo and activator on my jail broken iPhone 5 and the combination of those apps have already improved stock iOS by leaps and bounds.

There are plenty of other amazing features and tweaks in jail break that iOS could benefit majorly from. Apple just has to be willing to.

I'd rather have the in app experience on the iPhone versus the widget experience. Obviously I know you can do both on Android, though I find iOS apps generally more polished.

I'm not saying there aren't some things that Apple could do better. Same goes for Android - heck just trying to select and delete the text I didn't want to quote of your post was a pain on my N4....I couldn't select very easily and when I tried to move the arrow thing it switched to outside the text box.....

I see Android and iOS as different though neither being outdated or worse overall than the other.

I always thought it was just me on selecting text until I saw the posts in this thread. I see it in Gmail, Kindle, and the forums when I reply from my Nexus 7.

I wonder why that happens?

Text editing BLOWS on Android. I don't know why it's so sketchy.

Text editing on iOS is one of the very few things about the keyboard that I like better than Android. I love quadruple-tap to highlight an entire paragraph.

If only Apple would bring more features to the rest of the keyboard... :T

Those text selection calliper things on Android were my worst enemy, I could never get them to do what I wanted, I'd always have to give up on being precise and just go for near enough being good enough.

Anyone else ready for the next iPhone to come out and getting bored with iPhone 5?

I'm gettin bored of my iPhone 5. Stale software. Low in features.

I want a new iPhone packed with customization and software enhancements.

Maybe I'm asking for a SG4. But I'm ready for a new iPhone.

I'm bored with iPhone 5.

You know, you could get out of the house for a change. The world has much more to offer than some fancy gadgets.

bored with iPhone 5

:( sad to say but if you thought the iPhone 5 was bad then the iPhone 5s will really put you to sleep. Apple somehow is cornering the market on zzzzzzz;s.
There is hope but you will have to wait over a year until the Fall of 2014 to perhaps get a glimpse of any new smartphone innovation from Apple. Unless of course, the company decides to release an iPhone 5ss and then your in trouble.

So sad...it seems the upcoming generation is in constant need... no... desperate need, of constant novelty and stimulation.

Lives marked by unceasing disappointment and unhappiness in the absence of immediate gratification and endless novelty.

No, iPhone 5 is fine...

However, your post is beyond boring. It provides no brain stimulation at all, and is rather absent of thought and originality...

iOS has been the same visually and in it's core function and the iPhone itself has hardly changed it's appearance from the front at all for the last 6 years so i don't think it's unreasonable for users to want Apple to step it up it a bit and change something.

What sucks about Samsung is they design from their low end to their high end flasgship phones the same style ordinary people cant differentiate it so even if you have the newest SGS4 if people look at it they will still think its S3 and when you put a case on it those thin bezels isn't recognizable anymore.

While your comment is welcome, I just wanted to point out that my post was in response to the quote now added to my post (# 187).

This in no way invalidates you comments, I just wanted to make clear to what I was responding.

Sorry...

I have to wonder why you even bought it in the first place.

Inertia. Probably what accounted for half the iPhone 5's sales.

Like the cartoon character who runs off a cliff, seemingly suspended in mid-air. Till they look down. Reality sets in. That is what is happening to the OP right now. :D

What a load of rubbish you speak.

Basically it's just a lack of research on their part. They buy the iPhone knowing full well what it can do and it's limitations and complain its stale and doesn't do this or that.

It's been like that for the last few years? What are people expecting haha.

Looking at some of these posts, I guess some of you really do LOVE your iPhone as if it were you first born and could do no wrong. So defensive.

About as defensive as some Android users get too.

Any blind bias, be it from either side is pathetic.

True, but I'm responding to this thread.

The difference between iPhone users getting all defensive and Android users doing the same is kind of funny. iPhone users usually respond with a snobby 1 or 2 sentences basically telling you to **** off cause I love my iPhone. Android users will argue to the death with 5000 words essays about nerdy crap.

It's just people with fragile egos that have to justify their purchase to the death. Can't accept that people have different needs/wants and should have a one size fits all solution.

So sad. :( just saw the video on the new S4. It's BEAUTIFUL!!!

So thin. Screen from end to end like those infinity pools.

I hope Apple makes the iPhone 5 S amazing. Can't wait to upgrade if it is :( :( :(

Haha!!! Ur kidding right?!? Samsung would be no where without apple, do u remember who invented wifi? Who made the first touch phones? ( not the pen ones) not just samsung the world would be now where without apple and that other dude was right just battery sucking features while we got retina display a6 processors and did u get that another 5 star rated phone from itunes? It was rated 5 stars (again for top customer satisfaction) iphones were, are, and always will be the best phones on earth and considering u got the newest one (like all of us here) well thats freakin awesome!!
