Why would Apple talk about iPad when iPhone represents 2/3 of their revenue? Wearables are taking off like a rocket.

It's not about wasting time during the keynote. Apple didn't want the media to dilute their focus. Communications 101.

They also didn’t mention their media content stuff that they are working on as some had imagined they would talk about today. Good focus on just these “personal “ products today.

Oh well no ipad pro today..I hope they will announce another apple event in October for the ipad pro..crossing fingers

So it looks like there may be an October event, i thought they would announce the iPad Pro's at this event, i was wrong! at least October is only a month away :)

The only reason I held hope out was that this event was going to be a lame duck one without iPads or at least something else.

Why is everyone thinking there will be an October event? It could be November...

Because October is before November and I’m being optimistic :)

And you were right. If the market wasn’t so crazy for phones 24/7 you could almost argue they didn’t even need an event for today’s upgrades.

No one cares about watches when a phone can tell the time. iPads are their new computer and it will sell like hot cakes

And with Apple continuing to refer to iPad Pro’s as ‘computers’, it would make sense of them to promote it as such at the next Mac oriented event along side a new affordable laptop and a Pro model Mini.

If that were true Apple would not have introduced a fourth generation watch. You may not like the product, but to deny that it’s successful for Apple is a bit strange.

Not sure what to think anymore. Didn’t watch it live but seems like a bit of a weak keynote. October perhaps but at this point who knows. And anyway if it ISNT the first week of October it’s too late for me anyway and then I don’t care till March

Ditto !! Who has said that there will be an October event ? It could be very well not be this year as well ? It is looking ominous signs as far as the iPad Pro is concerned Apple now has made me more sceptical now if there will be an iPad Pro at all this year !!

Not everything was announced and with the iPad Pro getting a redesign they will want to hold an event for that so October will more than likely be it since they don’t hold November keynotes. Mark Gurman and Ming Chi Kuo have both said that the iPad Pros will be this year, an October keynote not seems very likely for the iPad Pro and updated Mac’s, something like this:

iPad Pro - 11” and 12.9” redesign
New MacBook Air 13 with Retina display
Mac mini
iMacs

That’s what’s likely at this point.

To be fair they did go through a lot, the Apple Watch got a BIG update and then the iPhones were talked about for a while. It took nearly the 2 hours so my guess is they didn’t want to overload at that point, October event is likely but we will see. iPad Pros having a new design is somthing they will want to talk about along with the new Mac mini, MacBook Air update and iMac update.

Plus new Airpods and maybe AirPower (finally) ...so actually worth while for another two hour event.

Yea they spent longer than i thought they would at yesterdays event, the new iPhone's took up most of the time. We will see an October event i think, might be the end of October tho? would they really send out invites just a couple of weeks after the September event? i don't think they will, i think invites for October event will be sent out the middle of October for an event towards the end of the month:

iPad Pro redesign - 11" and 12.9" maybe some new features as well?
MacBook 13" or MacBook Air 13" with retina
Mac Mini - rumoured to be more pro
new iMac's
Airpower - not sure if that will happen, it seems there are issues with it
AirPods - possibly updated to have "Hey Siri"

There is certainly enough for another keynote, the iPad Pro redesign alone will probably take a portion of the event time.

My wallet says thank you for not announcing iPad pros yesterday.

Gives me a buffer for a new iPhone and watch.

Phew

As if many people buy all of these on one go. Most folks upgrade maybe one piece of tech a year.

I am due for all three !! And it is giving me sleepless nights to even dare to think about buying all three devices !! lol !!

I don’t understand what you’re sweating about. Buy what you can afford and live within your means.

There are cheaper versions available if you can’t afford the latest. Simple as that.

Besides: you refer to these things as toys now? Tells me how seriously you need them. ;)

The Holiday sales season is huge for most any business. I can understand companies coming out with theyre biggest and best products as early as September, but November sounds too late for people to have the time to decide on what they’re going to spend they’re Christmas cash on. I say if there is going to be a second (Mac centric) event, then it will be the second half of October and that’s when we’ll see the new iPad Pro ‘computer’ along with a new laptop and Mini Pro.

I am buying all three. I sold my ceramic S3 and 10.5 pro and by the time I sell my iPhone x those sales will pay for half the cost of an S4 SS, IPad XS Max and Ipad pro 11"
