The rumor is proper usb c connection. Excited if that’s true but also a little bit miffed as i just bought 2 30w usbc adapters and lightning to usb-c cables. I’m all usb c now.

iF the Rumor is Correct it will be some type of Apple Proprietary USB-C
And the rumors are Probably just more USB-C dongles or accessories. Not that the iPad Pro itself would have USB-C before the iPhone.

The rumor is saying USB-C I/O, which means USB-C port on the iPad Pro.

It makes sense to move to USB-C for iPad Pro. It's a productivity/professional device after all. Apple calls it a computer.

USB-C supports alternate modes like DisplayPort and Thunderbolt and 100W charging. iPhone can't take advantage of any of these.

Man these cables are expensive.

Me too, I’m really looking forward to it I want to upgrade from my current first gen. They may introduce some new colours and probably bands as well.

So it’s the first Apple Watch from 2015? Same as mine the stainless steel, I don’t have a problem with upgrading you can’t expect the battery to last as long as the iPhone or a Mac considering it’s a smart watch with a small battery. 3 years seems good if you ask me

My wallet is very much ready for this, especially how useful the Watch has been for me.

True, I hear ya, but 3 years for a smart watch is ridiculous in my opinion. For a 1000+ Euro price tag, at least.

Phones and tablets don’t get exchanged every year and for many folks the watch comes way after these in the update cycle.

I get the feeling that this rumored update may be taking the iPad Pro to another level adding usb-c for external displays/storage as well as a more robust Smart Keyboard solution. What if we get a real bombshell and they add mouse support? There’s too many odd rumors about this design (smart connectors, squared edges, orientation) so I’m just spit balling...

I’m not sure about mouse support but they have got to do something especially if the iPad Pro is suppose to be a real laptop replacement, the competition with the Surface Pro is strong, more needs to be done.

My battery is not trustworthy anymore in my series 0 model, and I am not surprised. It is 3 1/2 years old, has been worn and used literally every single day since it launched, and 2018 watchOS software is just too much for it at this point. If I have a normal work day or day at home, it will usually last until bed, but if I do anything crazy like use it with GPS or do a workout during the day, it has to be topped off again in the afternoon. (It's sitting on the charger right now because I just used it for GPS on a car trip.)

I am 100% for sure ordering a series 4 as soon as possible, but my series 0 will be the first Apple device I have ever hung on to after I'm done with it. A) It holds sentimental value because it helped me lose like 70 lbs. and B) it's really not worth anything at this point as far as trade in value.

I am still trying to fathom what is the real use of the Apple Watch ? If you are not into running, jogging or any sorts of sports ?
Turn by turn directions, notifications, timers, Siri requests, incredibly accurate timekeeping, remote control for Home app and other smart home devices, remote control for Apple TV, heart rate monitor (it has literally saved peoples' lives), step counter, iMessage, email (I use it to decide if I can dismiss an email notification or if I need to pull my phone out and deal with the message), and in recent years, all of the above without needing the phone to even be present.

The "real use" is that once you get it set up to your liking, it really starts to loosen your reliance on the iPhone. The fact that it can detect heart issues before they kill you or contact 911 in emergency situations is just icing on the cake.

So, since we're so close to the event, let's all just give our gut feeling, knee-jerk answer, yes we'll see them, no we won't. Right or wrong, no explanation, we can all just put it out there and find out tomorrow.

My gut says yes we will

Has anyone noticed at the bottom of the Apple Timer that it says iPhone * Apple Watch * iPad?

Yes, I think iPads will be announced, unless the iPad upgrade is so huge that it means it should have its own event. So basically, if they don’t announce new iPads Pro along side the iPhones, I’ll be expecting bigger things from the iPad announcement.

That usb c rumor has me wondering. Being able to use external storage (mouse ?) or a monitor non mirrored is a game changer.

My thoughts exactly. If USB-C means that we can use external monitors and hard drives, then this will be a game changer. I’m hoping for this and an iPad dock with keyboard and USB-C port(s).

We’re setting ourselves up for disappointment but why not? The new strange connector on the back COULD be a dock interface eh?

Disagree. Or....that connector was fabricated because it was a terrible CAD render. Just like when the iPhone 7 renders were showing a ‘Smart connector’ which was proven to be false. I wouldn’t put your confidence in that at all.

Hehe, yeah, well I can dream. I hope that iPads are heading this direction, if not this year, in the coming years.

Oh I’m just wildly speculating at this point with no faith or accuracy. I mean with 12 hours to go why not?

If anything it’s a pencil charger. More than likely it doesn’t exist.
