All the Supply Chains leaks and Bloomberg Expert Opinion do suggest we will see a new iPad Pro with Face Id and it is in the making but nobody is confidently 100% putting their money on the table and betting yes, Apple will announce it on Sept-12th. So I guess we will see the iPad Pro's coming later this year not in September.

But let me guys ask you this aswell ? would you all be surprised if Apple does not release the iPad Pro this year atall. And keep it for Next year lets say March-2019 ? what if it does not happen at all ??

Fiscal Q3'18 results showed -5% revenue y/y for iPad. This is after one full quarter of iPad (2018) sales and that product is likely cannibalizing iPad Pro 10.5". There's moderate pressure on Apple reverse that trend after all the momentum they built since 2017.

iOS 12 was supposed to include significant changes for iPad including a new file system and home screen. Those features have been pushed out to iOS 13 according to Gurman. I think it's pretty clear Apple planned iPad Pro for 2018 and I doubt they want to have both the software and hardware schedule slip to 2019.

The question really is, which month in 2018?

I say we won’t see them until a later date, ( if I say they come out September it won’t happen... I’ll jinx it) lol.

Anyways, Apple is like any other company; they don’t like spending money and want as many of their products ready for school and the holiday. So in a business sense... a September 2+ hour event could happen...

10AM
Intro, Home-Pod, and Apple Music updates... then Apple Watch, we start with video on how Apple products work so seamlessly with each other; helping so many people. Then we get into the Apple Watch introduction. (All will last 35 mins.)

10:35
iPhone intro (I firmly believe the iPhones will be called iPhone 9, and the OLED are iPhone Pro.)
Federighi will spend 20 minutes on iOS 12 on iPhone Pro/9. All will last for 40 minutes.

11:15
AirPods and AirPower (15 minutes.)

11:30
The One more thing... New iPad Pros. This is highly, highly unlikely but they might do iPads; showing all the bezel-less stuff, new A11 or A12 processor, Face ID, and then reveal the iPad pros will be able to wirelessly charge on the AirPower. (35 minutes.)

12:05pm
Tim comes on stage to go over all the great new products and event finishes at 12:09pm.

OR... I’m crazy. lol

I’ve mentioned this before but I think it’s not insignificant that Apple’s back to school Beats sale (free Beats with Macs/iPPs) ends on 2nd October. Either that leaves enough time for new iPPs released in September to be added to and included in it, or it ends with a roughly two week buffer before a potential mid October release event for new ones.

What is bugging me why have still the Apple Invites not gone out to the Media ?

Kind of strange response on your behalf, Because last year Apple sent the invites out Thursday, August 31, 2017. The invites literally could be sent out today or Friday of this week.

I have a really bad feeling about the iPad Pro being THE device which will be held back until the October event

Or the one more thing follows IPP and is the new MacBook Air. All other laptops and desktops get silent or press release updates in October

OP: Are you actually going to buy a new iPad this year? As I recall, you make a big stink about these things every year and make a million threads, but still haven't upgraded from your iPad 3 from 2012. Not judging you if you're still using it, but you
Yes People ! The Bell has rung...Tring...Tring...Tring
They must have seen your comment and were afraid people were starting to think they were napping.

The marketing material leaks from Apple today only include the iPhone and Apple Watch, so I'm now assuming no iPad Pro until later.

No. Its going to take half the keynote to go over new watch bands and they still have to go over new iPhones.

not necessarily. They’ve only leaked what we already knew. Big X and bezelless Watch. The pros are arguably X level redesign and secrecy levels. It’ll be their one more thing (or the new laptop ZERO leaks about that either). I like it. Nice to be wowed at a keynote for a change.
