I absolutely loathe the crook. Apple has gone pathetically downhill and I feel like I'm holding on out of nostalgia for the old Apple. Right now I can't work out because these boneheads screwed up WatchOS on the latest update and now every Series 3 in existence is suddenly unusable. I use it as my heart rate monitor for my Peloton. Might as well just keep buying and returning new Apple Watches until these lazy thieves finally get around to un-bricking our watches. I've thought long & hard about filing a class action lawsuit against this clown for what he's done to Apple, I can't believe the estate of Steve Jobs hasn't went after this bozo with litigation of likes the world has never seen.

Absolute moron, lets take a look at what's going on under his tenure and I won't even get into all the BS politics of this Benedict Arnold either which is the worst part.

- He bricked every Apple Watch Series 3
- Jelly scrolling iPad mini
- Vibrating cameras
- Peeling iPad airs
- Released an iPad that still uses Apple Pencil 1 but can't charge Apple Pencil 1 without a dongle
- but said dongle is on an over one month delay
- AirPods max spontaneously combusting into flames
- bad bluetooth on Mac minis
- fired Johnny Ive
- PUT A NOTCH ON A LAPTOP WITHOUT EVEN HAVING FACE ID THEN GETS RID OF THE NOTCH FROM IPHONE
- discontinues mini iPhone and now every phone is so large no NBA player in the world could use it one handed. matter of fact they couldn't use an iPhone mini one handed because they're all too big, but this pathetic scumbag only cares about profit margins so they brainwash people into thinking they want to carry around tablets.
- half of MacBook is squared and half is rounded, terrible design
- fattened the whole lineup of everything making them so complicated and so many stupid names too
- now everyone is fleeing from his tyrannical rein and there are no design experts left

take a trip down memory lane, read it and weep, this guy needs to be fired and kicked to the curb before he destroys whats left of Apple. I'm almost considering becoming one of those people with green texts because of how diasasterous this Nike glasses wearing bum. Take a hike
You need to chill. Go out for a walk. There are far worse things to be upset about. You’re acting obsessive over the smallest of details (product line up design changes…really? Some are flat, some are round.)

Sorry about your series 3, but it’s getting old now. But about 2/3 of your list is just ridiculous.

Yea I am normally someone who updates things often and has the latest stuff, except watch as I solely use it for exercise. It would be one thing if they had announced they were dropping support, but they literally bricked every S3 in the world because of an error! and it’s been that way for about a week now

So you with TIm are a couple and he broke your heart...now it makes more sense because otherwise to be heartbroken because of some tech devices when out there are so many other options....was very very odd

It’s the new update, it bricks all Apple Watch Series 3’s. I have 2 relatives & 1 friend with a Series 3 and they have the same issue, none of them work now.

No chance of Cook getting fired at Apple , his keeping the coffers overflowing at the expense of die hard Apple Users

As long as Apple Shareholders are reaping in huge returns , they won't give a damn either.

Tim Apple knows how to make a lot of money. Many of his decisions are anti-consumer, but when you have a brand as popular as Apple you leverage it for all it’s worth and bring home massive profits. With a less popular brand, consumers would start to notice cost cutting while increasing prices, but the Apple brand is so strong consumers don’t notice or care. The shareholders love him and that’s what matters when deciding if he stays around or not.
The customer base is so strong, they will just deny whatever issue you have with the product.

Like he is a nice person. But he is cutting corners. The design and build quality has been horrible lately. Every single Apple product I bought has some sort of blemish, not to mention the iPad Air 5 creaking. Apple is cheaping out.
Went to the Apple store with a creaking 2000+ dollars top of the line MacBook Pro, was told it was within tolerances. That’s all I needed to know.

Some recent things Tom Cook got right:

1. Move to M1
2. iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro, Xs, 8
3. MacBook Pro 16”
4. Big Sur
5. Kept the company on top over COVID.
6. Photos App
7. T chips
8. Supper fast Face ID

Some things Steve Jobs got wrong:

1. Promised hardware FCP machine (like Avid) but never delivered.
2. Killed FCP 8 in favor of FCP X which never regained its market share.
3. Killed off a bunch of products to make a clean Home vs Business choice and then added a bunch of products making choice confusing (eMac vs iMac - MacBook MacBook Air).
4. Refused to enlarge iPhone despite the market demanding it.
5. Shut down all domestic manufacturing and making the company and much of the tech world China dependent.

6. I could go on…
7. File saver…
8. Apple Printers
9. iPod Shuffle
10. IPhone without 3G
12. IPhone 4 antenna gate.
13. IPhone lacking realiable push e-mail support until iOS 5.
14. Mac OS Mountain Lion.

AND… Apple Maps and Siri. Terrible under Jobs though still not great under Cook.

I’m sure we could make a similar list of crap Google, Microsoft and Samsung do. We live in a world controlled by a few companies. Choose where to spend your money wisely and don’t be surprised when things aren’t perfect. As Steve once said “you can please some of the people some of the time”.
Things Tim Cook got wrong:

1. Prices on the mini devices ( seriously, they could've been like $500 dollars when released and sold more than what they actually sold with a $800+ price tag )
2. Killing off the iPod Touch lineup cause they're too lazy to update the design and beef up the specs
3. Removing the headphone jack
4. Removing access to app folders/sandbox
5. Removing 32-bit support for apps, meaning old games/apps will never be able to launch anymore.

I think it has done things right, but with the economic crisis we are in (particularly in Europe) and inflation, I think it is taking senseless measures.

In the US, despite the fact that there is inflation, Apple has maintained its prices, on the iPhone and iPad Pro (not so on the iPad 10, which is a mistake in itself). Obviously in the US it has to maintain its high market share, and the sale of services that give the company so much profit. Which I find totally acceptable and respectable.

But in Europe, which has been growing in market share in recent years, after the price hike with the iPhone X, with hits like the iPhone 11, 12 and 13, suddenly, hikes of 200/300/400 and up to 500 euros in new upgrades. It is true that the euro has been devalued and that we are also suffering a big inflation, but in Europe the rest of manufacturers have retained this, without hardly affecting prices (at least for now, we'll see with the Galaxy S23, but the Fold and Flip, which were presented in August, maintained prices and the Fold even went down somewhat).

I think it is a mistake to pay with the European consumer, which may not be the largest, but where it had managed to regain ground against Microsoft with Windows and Alphabet with Android. It has taken years for it to get back to 25/30% market share in Europe, and the price hike is going to reflect a big loss of this market share. Maybe this year the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are selling well, but Apple needs the "normal" range, and at the prices they are, people are buying iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max in unofficial stores, new and sealed, having gone up in price these last few weeks due to the demand for these handsets that are no longer selling.

We have hikes of €100 on the iPad Air M1, with no improvement over March 2022. We have rises of 40 euros on the Magic Keyboard, on the Apple Pencil, on the iPad mini, iPad 9, iPhone SE, MacBook Air M1, all of them without changes in specifications and being models more than amortized and with ridiculous production costs (however much they have raised prices).

Then, apart from the square of products that Steve Jobs made when he returned to Apple, which today I do not see it feasible, since more variety is needed for the consumer, it is true that it has product ranges that make no sense whatsoever, in particular, the iPad today.

As I have stated in other threads, there should be 4 ranges differentiated from each other, but all with the same "target".

SE range, with attractive products with a good quality/price ratio, with old designs, but improved specifications with an attractive price to attract people to the brand.

The standard range, which would be the "mainstream", with latest specifications and designs with a higher price, but "relatively accessible".

The Pro range, with better specifications and materials, for a more "aspirational" public.

And finally, an Ultra range, with the most Apple can give, in terms of specifications, camera or durability, obviously at a price in line with "the most Apple can do".

Tim Cook has done a great job at Apple, I think so, but I think he can't give more of himself. He has been an expert at stretching the current product ranges as far as he can, he has created great new categories, like AirPods and the Apple Watch, the transition to Apple Silicon has brought the Mac back to life.

It has also had failures, such as the first HomePod or the first Apple Watch, since both products were not focused in the way the public perhaps wanted.

But on the other hand, we are starting to see an extremely confusing and diversified range, in some cases without a clear pattern to whom one product or another is aimed at.

I am not a psychic to know if the AR glasses will be a success for Apple (I doubt it and I am very skeptical with the metaverse and this type of device that takes you even further away from reality), but I think that if this product has modest sales, Tim Cook will leave Apple sooner rather than later.

The question is, will Tim Cook's successor be good enough to bring Apple back to the Steve Jobs era, or will it be a Tim Cook 2.0 that will keep stretching the gum until the machine breaks?

I don't give CEOs much thought, to be honest. To me, they're all essentially the same at their core. The only time I have an opinion is if they do something illegal.

I don’t like the direction Apple is going in either at the moment - I agree that Tim Cook is too much of a money man to be able to make a great company - only a ridiculously profitable one.

However, I don’t know him personally, so refrain from personal insults - and what concerns me far more than the state of Apple is the increasingly toxic culture in general on social media and forums, where people get far too carried away and forget that it is actually human beings they are talking about / interacting with.
