$300. Oh baby. What will I do with all that money. .
Dunno, perhaps make more use of the Find Friends app ?

It's pathetic obvious rationalization / budgeting justification for a bleeding edge top of the line iPhone tho. From a CEO
$300. Oh baby. What will I do with all that money. Hmm. That's a month's worth of bagels right there.
Rude! thats already more than half of what i have to spent each months (after putting the rest of my salary on my saving account and rent)

The $300 difference over the 3 years one would own the iPhone X is $100 a year or $8.33 a month.
If you only have $16.66 of disposable income a month, well...
and if i buy a 1 million house i only have to pay xy € over 200 years! So cheap!!
You’ve come to the exact same conclusion I have I see lol, love it. The wonderful world of the fantasy internet persona keeps on entertaining.Remember , this is the anon internet, so just make things up....now I need to go as my butler has poured my tea before he goes to setup the 10 Homepods that have just been delivered.
We're not talking about houses.
We're talking about someone getting all upset about "high prices" and settling for the iPhone 8 instead of getting the fabulous iPhone X because of a measly $8.33 a month.
I guess i am too german to break pricing down just to make it sound more reasonable. 300€ is 300€ i could already spent on something else. With that logic why not make the next one 500€ more and the one after that only 200€ more. Its just 200€ more than the last one! So cheap just xy € more per second.
300€ is already half of what the brand new iPhone 4/5 used to cost

Don’t mistake it for boastfulness though. He has admitted he doesn’t subscribe to status symbolism.....Yeah that’s what I thought lolI wouldn't argue with someone who feels the need to list the prices of their devices, as well as their supposed rolex, BMW, trophy wife, and beach house in their signature on an Apple-focused forum.
Regardless, Cook wants the iPhone X to be a success and so far it has, since he stated it's the top selling iPhone since its launch. In the end, The consumer makes the decision On what phone purchase they want, but nor is he going to assert negative things about the X. It's expected He will insinuate positive vibes about the iPhone X. Why wouldn't he.
Because to me, he should be talking about the product and highlighting its strengths not cups of coffee and scaling back on one’s lifestyle to get said product for
People on a tighter budget. Obviously if one scales back on expenses not needed it might allow for other purchases. It’s something that’s so obvious it shouldn’t even need to be said. And it is a principle that applies to anything, widgets or otherwise, not a specific flagship product.
It’s an apologetic approach that defies traditional sales tactics; you put a # out there and you don’t preface “ I know it’s a lot but ...” or anything like that. You throw it out there and see what sticks
Specifically because - What may be a lot to someone, could be a steal to others. For having a consolidated solution.
Talks of cups of coffee is an admittance “I know the price is a sticker shock but...”
It doesn’t matter since I own the X already but from a strategic standpoint, It’s weak (imo)
1000$ is twice as much as I pay per month for my apt. That's TWO months of rent for me. You can figure out if I would regret spending a grand on a telephone or not quite easily.
It's not a financial decision; in fact, I get why Apple push the envelope to maximize shareholder value. But there's a moral and ethical issue which is greater for me. I simply will not pay 1000$ for a telephone. It doesn't matter how much I earn. It's simply not ethical for Apple to do it as it's disgusting to me.So you burn $6,000 a year on rent, or $18,000 in the same 3 years you'll own a $1,200 iPhone X. It's not expensive over the 3 year span.
I understand that some people live in the here-and-now and don't think big picture. I used to struggle to make rent and lived month-to-month too, I get it. But as far as Apple's strategy, they make an iPhone for those on a budget. The SE or a used 5 off of Craigslist do an adequate job.
Judging by your outgoings, you enjoy debt but not everybody is happy to be indebted to the banks. Maybe you have an image to keep among your peers and neighbors? I don't know why you'd do it but each to their own.300€ is a very small price to pay to own the very best version of the second-most important thing in your life after shelter and before transportation. I spend $10,000 USD on my home mortgages each month, I'm spending $1,500 on my car leases each month, what we're talking about here is $8 a month.

i don't equate the utility of a phone to being that of a laptop. I might use a laptop for 8 hours a day but I only use my phone for much less than that. I've had iPhones for 9 years now and only in the last 6 months did I purchase a refurbished iPhone 6S for myself and another for Mrs dogslobber.Interesting point of view. Why would you find it palatable to pay $2,000 for a MacBook but not $1,000 for an iPhone when they are essentially the same product?
