Do you see more iPhones or Androids?

Funny. One of the engineers at work has one. When he got it, it was like a big deal because no one had seen a Windows phone before.

Yeah I acually have a lumia 635 myself because it was on sale at Walmart for $60 and i decided to get it as a backup phone. So I definitely understand why I haven't seen it out in public, the OS is acceptable but there's just not enough developer support and its glaringly obvious. Even with the dirt cheap prices, I still don't see them out in public. I'm the only person I know that owns one and I don't even use it.

At this point, you nailed it on the head. Given sufficient applications, OS choice is a matter of taste. The fact is, Android and iOS have the application collection to make them competitive. Windows has a different, strong interface, but the apps just aren't there.

And it really is a shame because the OS isn't horrible, but then again there's nothing outstanding about it either. I think they just came into the market with too little too late.

I'm running the windows phone 10 beta and its nothing to brag about either. Modest changes to the OS, still no developer support.

In London there are a lot of iPhones but a lot of Samsungs too.

I went to Thailand over the summer and I don't think i've ever seen so many Galaxy Note devices. I'd say they outnumber iPhones by about 4:1!

In my home town, I see a lot of iPhones, older ones, not the new iPhone 6, it seems people in my town are buying older iPhones off of Craig's list. I personally like my Galaxy S5.

Fast forward a couple of months...I see a LOT of iPhone 6+ everywhere. Seems like supply is well caught up because they are everyone.

In contrast, I've only seen a few Note 4 owners since it was released. I did see one at work on Friday though.

Samsung smartphones here everywhere, about 70% I guess and the rest a few iPhones, Sony, LG and HTC.

Took my son to a ostrich festival. Saw a very odd thing. Most of the iphones were from teenagers or people over 60. The Samsung/Android phones were from middle aged people like me.

Actually seems pretty reasonable. I think for kids there still is the 'cool' factor of owning an iPhone. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the ease of use of the iPhone appeals to the older generation, especially when they can stop into Apple stores for assistance or customer service

I know I've already answered this but I was at an NHL game last night and looking around, seemed to be the 50/50 split typical of US market share. The vast majority of the Android phones were Samsungs as well. I rarely see non Samsung Android devices out in public.

Maybe it's just because I'm a student and most students can't afford iPhones. I do still see a lot of them around anyway but the majority is Android for sure.

I was waiting for my car to be serviced on Thursday and so spent the day walking around York and drinking gallons of coffee during my enforced wait. I found that I saw more iPhones than any other make, most of my coffee drinking was in the normal Starbucks/Costa type establishments and as such had a younger (minus me) clientele.

Androids and PCs are banned at Starbucks. They won't throw you out, but they will give you nasty stares and give you lukewarm coffee.

Where I work and a lot of places I deal with they won't give you access to the WiFi or network unless you have an iPhone or Blackberry lol. It might be outdated but there is no budging. Not sure if this is the reason why I see more iPhone's or not?

I don't have much choice as it is where I work and the industry I work in. Our IT guys know their stuff, but its just policy now after an incident in 2011 where a series of viruses got into our network from an Android device. It was easier just to ban their use and those who have the need for company phones are either given old Blackberry's or iPhones. The company don't give a toss if it means a few people can't surf the web on their WiFi during their lunch breaks lol. As I said though it is a little outdated now but I have known this policy in quite a few places I deal with still.

I only allow Android phones on my WiFi and by doing so discourage the use of any other phones. Don't know why i don't see any iphones /s

Supposedly yes. There are people here with Android devices though including one of the IT guys, but they are not work related as such, just personal devices with perhaps good data plans lol.

Where I live (Metro Vancouver), iPhones were more common a few years ago. Lately, Android has caught up. Where I work, we used to be a BlackBerry shop. We've change over to iPhones now. Amongst the people I know, most of my friends have Android. My wife's side of the family have mostly iPhones. My side of the family don't use smartphones.
