I plan on going fully caseless, but I still throw on the silicon case when I leave the house, and take it off once im back. maybe in one more month or so when im feeling more comfortable handling the phone ill do without a case, especially if the titanium holds up the way it has on my Apple Watch ultra.

A tale of caution first. You should do some trial runs above your bed first, as silicone cases are quite grippy. Hard plastic cases, on the contrary, are as slippery as naked iPhones.

Now a tale of encouragement. 😉 One of my friends was using Apple clear case (hard plastic) for years with his iPhone 11 Pro, but being aesthetically sensitive, eventually got tired of having to remove that hard brick from his iPhone to clear the dust that would get in between. So last Xmas he just took it off altogether and went caseless - so far, so good. The only “side effect” of this was him leaving his iPhone behind in a safety of his house more often, yet if you have a cellular Apple Watch (he does not), I guess it is not a big deal.

One more thing! Ceramic Shield iPhone screens are actually more prone to micro-scratches than the previous generations, so if you don’t use a screen protector you may need to be careful putting your caseless iPhone into places like back pockets of tight trousers, etc. 🖐️

i'm carrying mine inside a soft pouch, but it has no extra case or screen protectors on.
no scuffs / scratches / cracks / dents or whatsoever after more than a year (iP13)

Could you share which soft pouch you are using? When I tried using one before, my iPhone 7 slid right out of it when I was rushing to take a call and fell quite badly.

it should be this one, though not necessarily the exact model:

it fits quite snug so should not slide out by itself, but of course that part of taking your phone out is always the most likely situation to drop your phone.
as i'm usually pretty cautious i haven't done so in the two years i've been using it, but i almost dropped it some time ago when i was really not paying attention

I haven't used a case in years. The less bulk, the better.
The phone is usually in my back pocket, on a desk at work or at home on a table or shelf. So far so good *keeps finges crossed*, I also have Applecare. With the iPhone X, Apple replaced the whole phone when I accidentally broke the back glass. Since then I've been fine.

Though always use case , some people have a valid reason for not , less bulky and better. But what's reason for not using tempered glass protection? That glass is not noticeable, it doesn't affect the touchscreen performance and it's don't affect the weight? Without tempered glass protection, micro-scratches are inevitable even if it never fell on the ground.

Hearing the word titanium made me think I might want to go without a case for the first time in ages.

But then one look at Jerry Rig convinced me that I needed at least the fine woven case, and I got one. Lots of bad reviews of the fine woven case but it has been fine for me so far.

Since Jerry Rig, Consumer Reports has said that despite the tests everyone else is doing, all versions of the 15 series have survived their tumble tests perfectly well.

Maybe I'll get the courage to remove the case one day. :)

All of the characters on Apple TV+ shows use iPhones (naturally) and nearly all of them are in a case.

Micro-scratches are inevitable. And?

Are micro-scratches which are only visible if you stare hard or using a microscope (micro-scratches right?) something to be bothered by?

I got AppleCare+ on my iPhone 15 Plus and this time I decided to go without a case cuz it feels so nice and I don’t want any added weight. HOWEVER, it already dropped 4 times the last 2 days by quietly and slowly slipping off my desk each time 😅🙈 so far nothing happened. So yes, you have to be careful as the phone is very slippery

If my phones are slipping off my desk, I have MUCH bigger problems!!! ;)

What shows are you watching? Like almost all of them are caseless. All of the first Apple early programs were 100% caseless. Only ones I’ve seen with cases are maybe Shrinking and Platonic.

Yes, for several reasons the first being that as I have aged my hands don't have the grip they used to and I drop everything, the phone is slippery. Second being I enjoy being able to change the look of the phone whenever I want to. I use a case on my Apple watch as well, I'm constantly banging it into things. Again I enjoy changing the look of it with new cases and watch bands, preferably matching my phone case when I can.

I just find cases cumbersome and annoying. Not to mention they completely nerf the aesthetics/design elements of the phone

I make the phone grippier by applying matte skins all around and a screen protector

Its an acquired risk i'm willing to accept. I understand its definitely not a suitable setup for everybody.

Seen too many cases of butterfingers.
