I have a 12 pro in Pacific blue and am looking for a Caudabe sheath type in a matching colour case (caudabe understandably have run out of these in blue).

Any recommendations for a slim as possible ocean view case please?
For a slim, ocean-themed case, try Totallee's Thin Frosted Blue for a minimalist look or Spigen's clear Liquid Crystal to show off your iPhone's Pacific Blue. For more protection, ESR's translucent blue or Mujjo's sleek Monaco Blue are great options, and you can easily find these on the Totallee case store.

You know those clear rain coats that you can buy? I kind of see this like that. Here, put on this clear rain coat so you can show off the new shirt you got!

Rather than just showing off the shirt itself…

I'm just messing with you, not attacking. You're offering suggestions as was asked and so my response is tongue in cheek…but still. ;)

I just got a used, like new, with new battery, iphone 12 mini to replace my original 2016 iphone SE. I loved that phone. sat so good in the hand, looked good and I never even considered a case for it. But I wanted FaceID, current iOS compatibility, therefore the 12 mini.

With the protruding lenses, however, it hurts my photographer's heart when I put it down on a table, so I just ordered one of these, because I want to be able to use my non-apple magsafe:

Will it protect my lenses - and allow normal charging with the charging plate?

Thanks for the suggestions Mike.

I currently have the Liquid Crystal but it still hides the true colour as the case ain't completely clear. And the little bubbles within the case don't help much either.

Totallee no longer sell iPhone 12 cases. But I did find this from jetec which looks ok https://www.amazon.co.uk/JETech-6-1...b4e9a540f857c8cc&hvocijid=260862350605540475- B0BHH7D74F-&hvexpln=74&gad_source=1

Edit: bother! That's a 14 case!!!

Did you see this I posted above? Ordered it yesterday and will have it sometime later today. ESR has a good name, and it has 26,000 ratings with 4.5 stars, and only $7.99.

Thanks bondr. I didn't see your post. For some reason your link isn't working. What version esr is it? I'll check it out. Also, a favour pls - when you get it, could you post up pics of it on your phone?

Edit: found your post. Could you also post pics of your current case too. It looks quite good. Thank you.

Thanks! This is my current case. Been on the phone for over 2 years and protected very well. Just wanted a new case that was clear and minimal. It also comes in Crystal Clear, Sierra Blue, and a few other colors.

Thanks mate. I've had similar cases on my 11.

Looking forward to seeing how clear your new case is.

Without familiarity with the specific brand of the case you bought: I would say that it'll probably work about as well with your charging plate as any other Magsafe ready case. The ring-and-dash markings on the back of the case are there to properly align the iPhone with a magnetic charger; cases with that on the back are usually specifically designed to work with wireless chargers. Thus, if your non-Apple charger has the appropriate alignment magnets built into it, than there should be no issue.

However, if the charger is not magnetic, I'd suggest that you consider investing in a better wireless charger; improper alignment usually leads to unusually high heat dissipation. While it's not overly likely to lead to a safety issue, it's by no means impossible... and I'm sure we've all heard the horror stories about what can happen when chargers and/or cell phones overheat. At the very minimum, it'll adversely affect charge times and reduce overall efficiency.

As to the lenses... it'll probably be adequate enough protection -- but if you're that worried about them, you could also pick up a lens protector.

Thanks for your input.
I'm expecting it to be delivered tomorrow, and I'll report back.

It didn't come yesterday, so I'll post some of the new case later today when it arrives.:)

Edit: Maybe I'll make a little unboxing and installing video and post it if you like.
Thanks dude, that'll be top.
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to do an unboxing video, but I took a lot of photos I've attached, and a short video of what it looks like on my phone. I really like the new case a lot. I liked the previous Spigen case, but I really like the new ESR case. I can see even more of my beautiful Alpine Green 13PM. Very clear, and just grippy enough to not have to worry about it slipping out of my hand. I can't believe I paid less than $8.00 for it. It's back to $10.00 now, but I'd still definitely buy it at that price.

I've always liked that clear edge look around the phone. When I got an iPod Nano I got a clear case for it and I did the same when I got my iPhone 5. However, over time I discovered that junk and dust from outside got inside the case and the acrylic started to scratch up and get cloudy. It was rather disappointing because at some point cleaning the case wasn't helping. For that and a few other reasons, I ditched my clear case for both my iPod and iPhone 5 after a short while.

Does this particular case avoid that problem? I'm asking just because I'm curious. The look is cool and I'm hoping it stays that way for you for a long time.

Thanks! I guess time will tell. It is supposed to be resistant to yellowing also...but I guess time will tell on both dust and discoloration. At under $8.00, I'm not too worried. If it goes south, I'll either put my Spigen case back on, or replace it with another cheap new case.

Thanks for doing this bondr. Unfortunately, for some reason, I can't watch the video as it keeps asking me to sign in. Thing is, I am signed in 🤔

The case looks great and just like my current Spigen. But my colour looks much more subdued, and in most lights the pacific blue looks more Gloomy Day Grey! I think I need to find the most pacific blue like case, which is also slim. Any suggestions most welcome please?

Been using my 16 Pro Max caseless all day and love it! I have no doubt this is what I'll end up doing soon. I went caseless with my 15 Pro Max for the last 6 months, including a couple of trips abroad. I took a case with me but did not use it. And now, having AppleCare Plus makes going caseless an even more attractive choice.

You are welcome! Is it asking you to sign in to YouTube or MacRumors when you try to watch? You can go to YouTube and watch it there. I am embedding the direct link to the video Right Here. Please let me know if that works for you.

The ESR case I just got also comes in Frosted Blue, and Clear Blue. One of these might work for you?

It was asking to sign into YouTube, which i have signed into. Very odd.

Thanks for the links to the cases. Do you think the clear blue will show off or diffuse the Pacific blue of the phone?

Edit/ and thanks for the embedded link. That worked.

I am glad the link worked for you. The clear I got lets the color of my phone come through really well. I don't know if the clear blue would enhance or diffuse. The only advice I have is try one. If you don't like it, Amazon has a very easy return system. Personally, I think the crystal clear is your best bet, if my results are any indicator.:)

Good call on the amazon idea. I'll order a couple to see which works best.

I'll also post pics of my current case to see what you lads think of it.

I have been doing the same with my 16 pro max since I got it 3 days ago - and like you, loving it! This is the first time in a very long time I have tried going caseless -

I had the leather Apple case on my 14 pro max - and since they stopped making those I wanted to try something different. I am still thinking of getting the Apple silicone case - just bc the phone feels so damn slippery in the hand without a case.

i am very careful with all my phones, but even being so careful I still managed to drop my 14 pro max 2 times on cement in 2 years, although no damage was done. I also do have AppleCare+ - But it still makes me nervous without a case on it. I cannot stand any case that is bulky - and I hate clear cases also.

It just feels (and looks) so much more premium without any case on it.

I usually don’t use a case, but I finally found a screen protector that doesn’t annoy me. So nowI have to use a case with a raised lip because the screen protector basically raised the display. Or else I would feel a sharp edge every time my thumb swiped the side of the screen.

Hey Danny, Hope you are doing great, which case do you want to use or are you using, can you show it here?

Considering I loan my phones from my carrier I need a case, I got the Nomad leather case for my iphone 16 pro max that's better than I'd hoped for to be honest!
I just ordered a Nomad Horween modern leather case for my 16 pro max. I was going case-less, but decided I better get a case, mainly bc I don’t like the camera lenses exposed to any hard surfaces I may put the phone on. I had an apple leather case for my 14 PM and loved it - but bc they do not make them anymore, I did some research and Nomad seems to make some great quality leather cases - so I went with that.
