I have no problems in FCPX (apart from NeatVideo, which doesn't support RX4x0 on OSX at the moment).Did somebody tested some steam games or pro apps (Photoshop, FCPX, etc etc)?
I've read about benchmarks but I would appreciate some real-life usage comments.
Do you have a supported Mac Pro?im having trouble updating from 10.12.1, it doesnt show in the updates panel and when i try to download the standalone package and run it it says:
"macOS 10.12.2 Update cant be installed on this disk. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
Its a 256gb AHCI Samsung in PCI slot 4
The reason im running Sierra is for the RX480 and wanted to see if there was any improved performance on 10.12.2.
I have tried with and without the RX480 installed and with and without SIP enabled.
Any ideas?

Do these look right for an RX 480?
Run the CUs enabler to get all 36 in OpenCL. - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/amd-radeon-r9-fury-x-in-mac-pro-5-1.2024656/
Do any of you have the unmolested x4100 kext mine's so far gone that I can't fix it anymore
Sorry. Saw this before and forgot to action. How do I get it to you, just add the file here, (it’s 9.8MB)?What's wrong with kext? I'll get on my Mac Pro later this week and upload one.

It’s from 10.12.2 BTW.
No problem. That’s b4 right, are the AMD kexts identical to 10.12.2?I was messing with trying to get all the CU's and lost all my acceleration. I signed up for the public beta and now with the update I have the unmolested kext.

Ok so that is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to see. That’s on Baffin tho. Weirdly enough I thought the 470 and 480 were Ellesmere.I didn't pay close attention but it seems like there was an extra ID in there.

Happy with that. As soon as 10.12.3 is out I’ll pop my 470 back in.It is but trying to change that and add the CU's is what lead to the issues with the kext..so I'm not going to play with it right now, I'll just wait and see if a 480 ends up in a Mac.
Dual booting/cold booting/sleeping all good?I've just installed an Rx 480 in my 5,1. All seems okay after the 4100 kext edit and the CU script from the r9 thread.
I've noticed during valley benchmark 'Extreme HD' setting, the motion stutters, like a okay for a second, pause, okay, pause...
it's fine on medium settings, all smooth. Is there a reason why it's stuttering rather than moving smoothly, but slowly?
This is my progress from an HD5870
