I actually like OS X Alcatraz, well done whoever said that.

Cappy is now on front page of the Dutch App Store. Can I download it? Hell no.

Edit: I checked and I can't download ANYTHING. That's probably punishment for my negativity about Apple Music.
Same here (also in NL), something about not being able to find the server. Now I'm connected via a VPN server in the US & it's downloading.

EDIT: It looks like the command line is specific for Yosemite, I modified it to "burn" a usb drive with El Captain. I have not tried the USB it created as I am too busy with some work before I down the computer for the OS X upgrade.

New Line:
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction

This is correct, and actually has worked since Lion. The only thing that would change would be the path to the installer, which you have right. But if you're on Lion or newer, this will work.

BL.

Mine has (literally!) stopped for 20 minutes, now started downloading at 3MB/s. Prague here. :D And no, it won't install automatically.

Nice, no change for me, it's at 11 hours after resuming now so it might be ready in the morning. Cool, good to know, thanks!

Ok, we get it, your connection is fast. Now stop bragging about it and do something useful uploading it somewhere

I would/could. But I see torrents out there already.. if that doesn't help you. My direct download won't either.
Plus, I strongly recommend the code-signed (lol) copy from the App Store.

Got it up and running on my old MacPro (2008) - Mail is super glitchy... Cant even get past the upgrading library screen - keeps finishing and then doing it again... sigh

The magical solution to my problem: set DNS to 8.8.8.8
Yeah, you're right, I've gone from 1Mb per minute to 1.1Mb per minute, at this rate OSX 20.1 will be out by the time I finish.
1 hour 67.9MB.
Whoa, just while I was typing this it jumped to 450MB, I was going to go to bed but I might sit up and watch the show.
Must have been the DNS 8.8.8.8, just took a few minutes to get going, thanks bud.
Flying 1.43GB.

Try 8.8.4.4? lol.
Seriously though, where I'm from, 8.8.4.4 has a way lower ping time.
No it's screaming on 8.8.8.8 now, I'm nearly finished, absolutely flying.
In 5 minutes I've gone from 50Mb to finished right now while I'm typing, beautiful.

Installing now, it's gone that fast I've got a nosebleed.
