I've spotted an 18/10 SS pour over with mesh filter (though you can use a paper filter with it) for a decent price. Should make cleaning a cinch.

Currently having some black tea with a squeeze of lemon.

I'm not exactly clear what it is you are describing; is it a vision of the French press?

A few years ago, I had a Bialetti French press which was not unlike what you seem to have described.

This morning, I enjoyed a mug of Kenyan coffee with hot milk and brown sugar.

I think it can be good to realize that coffee actually can be an addiction. It can definitely be spoken of in a espresso thread, I think.
It sure have its benefits to live without it for periods.
I don't drink every day. Not only because I don't want to bring its acids to my body every day.
But also because, I do enjoy it a lot more if I drink 2-4 times á week instead of every day as an habit.

The health benefits that actually exist to, it's nothing we really reap if we are addictive to it.

I am just sitting down with an Cappuccino btw, and then off with a tour with my new electric bike :)

There was a time I drank 6 espressos a day. Yikes, I always felt miserable by 4pm when the headache would set in.

These days I typically have one espresso/pour over in the morning before work and one more press at work on arrival. Weekends are usually just one in the morning. Much better.

Sat in my garden with a cup of Ethiopian coffee made in my French Press (with a dash of full fat organic milk) and listening to Beethoven’s Symphony no 9 in D minor on my Bowers and Wilkins P9 Headphones. Magical!
