Just now, I am sipping a mug of coffee: A blend (of my own devising) of Kenyan and Ethiopian coffee, with organic hot milk.

And, I am also awaiting delivery of the coffee I ordered earlier, which is supposed to be delivered today.

New coffee beans arrived this morning.

It's a light roast, "Manantial" from Honduras. Not tried it yet.

Let me know how you find it.

Actually, I am drinking a coffee from Honduras at present, and I have to say that while it is nice, I prefer the other coffee I ordered at the same time, a coffee from El Salvador.

However, one can never go wrong with a coffee from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia.

Enjoyed a vanilla latte from Greggs on my walk to work after my chiropractor appointment this morning. Usually go for caramel but they've got salted caramel syrup in for Christmas and its not sweet enough for me, so back to vanilla. Very nice!

Today I've finished what was left of a bag of beans from Sumatra. Fortunately a new order of beans arrived in the mail yesterday with beans from Peru, Colombia, and something I haven't tried before. Monsoon Malabar

Enjoying an early evening mug of Kenyan coffee with honey and milk.

Sounds delicious; hope you thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ah, Monsoon Malabar, fascinating; I will be exceedingly interested to read what you think of it.

The roaster I get my beans from, a small shop along the road from the house has a batch from Indonesia (Pegasing). which they describe as Blackcurrant, Mango and Plum with a spicy Tamarind body

I've never tried coffee from that part of the world. Before I buy some, has anyone any thoughts?

I wanted to say there is no such thing as bad coffee but it isn't true unfortunately. Still when you talk about a small roaster I say why not try something new? For the record I have not had coffee from that part of the world either.

decafjava, I agree there are some coffees I wouldn't buy again. Over the last two years I've enjoyed a wide range of coffees from them, mostly Africa and South America. In fact I've come to the conclusion that I couldn't go back to the large chains like Starbucks or Costa.

It's been an education trying out coffee from different growers around the world.

Got my new Intenso beans from non-EU origin - A blend of unknown arabica and robusta beans ?
Yum, really intense! Haven't been drinking robusta beans in a very loooong time.

I have been on this snobbery coffee culture since late -80's when my brother returned from a yr travel with some green beans. After some investigation we found a little shop we could continue to buy green beans from after that interest had started. Not common at that time. No roasted beans to buy anywhere, so the kitchen was in great coffee flavor after roasting, as everybody knows who have done it.
As bro was a world traveler of magnitude, both in his work and private, he continued to bring home all the different kinds of beans, and wife's too (at least 2) from culinary coffee countries.

I have own probably 6 great espresso machines, where the last 2 has been of the upper higher quality.
I know what a coffee snob is ?

Anyway I am tired of exquiste delicate arabica beans now. I wanted more depth and intensity.
I don't drink so much today, so I want more sting when I do drink.
So I ordered 4 kg for less than what arabica quality beans cost /kg.

I think I got my espresso desire little kicked again of rediscovering new stuff.
Robusta beans is my new friend ?
