I don't think you needed to bleach the machine due to a leaf falling in, as this is (apparently) how tea was "invented". Well, not into a coffee machine :)
But it was the 'water-tank' that the leaf possibly went into. The waterchannel don’t like either tea or grinded coffee for that matter. So a good cleanse won’t hurt.

I have no plants close to my espresso machine, so I'll continue to fill my tank at place 😊

Ya gotta clean the machine when it tells you it’s time. Easy peasy.

Ah, yes.

One of the facets of owning an espresso machine that may be overlooked in a domestic context.

After all, you never have to clean the stunning La Marzocco coffee machine that you admire (and perhaps, even secretly lust after) in your local coffee shop when you drop in for a coffee.

I'm some very nice Ethiopian coffee this morning.

The post office says they're delivering a package this morning.......and I suspect it may be coffee that's been sent as a Christmas present.....maybe

Do you have a knock and tamp pox?

I'm looking at a few to make it more organized around my espresso love.
Maybe you have a suggestion?
I have a knock box (very small) that has lated me for years, but Breville do one that matches their machines
THere is the Knockbox Mini Breville Knockbox Mini
and then there is also the full size "Knock Box" The Knockbox

Mine is a plastic affair that has been quite brilliant, which has lasted me a number of years. It's a Grindenstein by Dreamfarm Grindenstein which is apparebtly now also available in a "large".

A Knockbox alone I don't need, and I've seen the Sage/Breville's Boxes.
I'm more thinking along this line. There's a few that I'm comparing - might be this one!

perhaps trying to find the perfect coffee to pair with the Chemex that's waiting for you?
There is that possibility, yes......

However, there is also the ludicrous fact that a coffee (yes, yet another coffee) from El Salvador showed up on the small coffee shop's website, just a day or so after I had placed (and received) my most recent order.

Now, while I do like coffee from El Salvador.......very much, almost as much as I love coffee from Ethiopia.....there are one or two concerns:

Firstly, I have more than sufficient coffee (including a coffee from El Salvador, plus another from Ethiopia) to see me through the coming weeks, and secondly, the beans are "Geisha" which I have needed to remind myself that I don't actually like, (or, rather, to be more precise, I think that they are over-rated, and cannot understand their elevated, almost revered, reputation, in some coffee quarters).

A mug (Le Creuset), of piping hot coffee (Honduran, served with organic hot milk), is to my hand.

All is - if not quite right with the world (it is solstice time, in December, after all), - at least a lot better when there is good coffee to be appreciated, savoured, sipped and enjoyed.
