Ordered what I thought was a Rose Red Sport Band on eBay the other day, it arrived but seems to be a little different - the box is exactly the same as any other Sport Band, but plain without a picture on the front, just the '42mm' sticker bottom left. The model number is also different, and it's described as a 'DEMO' band. Were these destined for Apple Stores and the like for display? Has anyone else come across bands like this?

The band inside is packaged exactly the same as a normal Sport Band and is definitely genuine. No instructions or warranty information etc though.

Yes this is likely from an authorised reseller. Apple Stores get them too obviously but it is extremely unlikely it would have made its way out of a store.

If you know an authorised reseller, it’s a good way to get the rarer bands - they can also order demo versions of straps that are normally only sold with a Watch. :)

Interesting, thanks!

Yes. Ordered all new Sport colors. Do that going fwd for each release bc they do sell out!

Yes, this is an important fact. One I didn't realize until it was almost too late for some colors! I'd been wanting a genuine purple band for the longest time. I have to say the color exceeded expectations!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a Milanese Loop Edition. This is on the compact version by @choreographics

Thanks. I am pretty sure about that too. A copy and paste-mistake. Missed that one. Will change it with the next update.

In the overview there’s only one Blue Sport Band mentioned. There are two different ones actually.
I added some pics. I have both in the 42mm version with modelno. MJ4R2ZM/A and MLDL2ZM/A.
The latter was as far as I know released later than the first. It’s clear, as can be seen from the picture of both boxes that the MJ4R* is a darker shade than the MLDL*. One the picture of the actual straps it might be harder to see, but in real life the same difference is very clear.

Yes this was actually mentioned numerous pages back. I forget which page but it’s there-

I made a post elsewhere asking for help for a full body protection skins along with a screen protector, but no one answered with a good suggestion (so far). I thought this thread may be more appropriate.

Does anyone have a good recommendation? Best Skins Ever offers only a screen protector. Skinomi offers a kit to cover the back and side as well, but I can't find any decent testimonials or reviews. Likewise, some poster mentioned Armorsuit, but I can't find any solid info even on the manufacturer's own website.

Whatever happened to the band that kinda looked like paper? Dunno what the material is called.

i seriously cant stand most of apples bands for the watch....most of them make the watch look even smaller than it is.
Sport band has got to be the worst..should be as wide as the watch.
sure wish they would come out with a bigger watch...42mm is so 1980 looks like a tic tac on my arm
dont get me wrong i have 2 watches and i love them but com on man.
one i have the mel loop / stainless steel
other one is nike space grey with a band that i found at target. (wide as the watch) this band is the only reason im keeping it (plus cellular)

What about the Hermès cuff?

Should be all? Definitely not. I don't like it. And that's an opinion like yours is. People have different preferences and different styles. Sorry to hear, Apple doesn't offer anything which matches yours.

All the bands made by Apple are too skinny for the watch - making the watch look even smaller. Wider bands make the watch appear bigger. Guess it’s my opinion cause I workout a lot and the watch is so 1980 size ( small for my arms) Apple needs to revamp and make the watch bigger. Not saying huge but step up to a 46 at least.

I'm curious, how large are your wrists? Most people I've seen wearing an Apple Watch seem to be fine with the size they chose (in terms of how it looks).

I cannot imagine a 46 mm watch face (whether an Apple Watch or regular watch) would look particularly good unless on very large wrists.

Cow feces ;) Small bands make a watch look bigger, wide bands make the watch itself look smaller. You are wrong, and that is not a matter of opinion. It's a matter of how design works in relation to perception.
