Do we have a shot of all the trail loops? I have a handful of them, just curious if we have them all here collected.

Is it possible to see Plum, Dark Cherry, Elderberry & Mulberry together inside and outside lighting please? If you already have Plum or Elderberry is it worth getting Mulberry? I know the answer for most of us is YES! I have a friend that already has Plum and my partner has Elderberry. Either one of them is obsessed with Apple Watch bands like I am. However Violet is my partne’s favorite color. This is what both of them are probably getting for Christmas.

Reactions: the future

If this is true, I will hate Apple forever… 😢
Apple Watch was a Jony Ive pet project, and with the news yesterday about one of the last remaining designers from the Ive era leaving Apple, it looks like there might be a changing of the guard in the Industrial Design group and how they approach certain designs.

Edited to add that the VP of Industrial Design, who went on an interview to talk about the importance of preserving band compatibility in 2021, had left Apple early this year.

Looks like being a noodie Apple Watch Owner is going to pay off with Watch bands. I am not a a collector of Watch bands but with this I don't have a big collection that will not work with future models.

I'll be disappointed but I guess it's not unexpected. I have over 60 OEM bands and likely wouldn't invest anywhere near so heavily again if I can't keep using my old collection. I doubt we'd get some kind of split in the models like a "classic" and "modern" Apple Watch to keep us happy.

We've had almost a decade of being able to use the same bands even as the watches themselves have grown a fair bit in size (especially the Ultra).

The only thing I would be...upset(?)...about is losing the leather links as I liked those and Apple is no longer manufacturing leather bands.

Honestly, as long as they re-release the following in the new format, I will be content with my Apple Watch X:
  • Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop
  • Black Unity Braided Solo Loop
  • Dark Cherry Braided Solo Loop

One of the reasons I got the Series 9 was to hold onto it a little longer incase there was a band design change.

Is anyone considering selling their band collection prior to the release of the Series X? I imagine the value of the current bands dropping quite a bit. The only drawback of selling is if there isn’t a band design change and you just ended up getting rid of your collection 😋

Anyone who gets rid of their existing bands (which will never stop working on every watch Apple has ever made so far) because of a rumor by someone who has been wrong in the past is...not smart.
Why?

If I'm not going to own any of those generational watches, except my Series 0 for sentimental reasons.. why would I keep any of the bands??

Maybe you misunderstood my post - if your use cases have changed for your collection then by all means, do whatever you’d like with them. What I’m saying is it’s silly to get rid of your bands just because someone tweeted an unsubstantiated rumor about a product that isn’t likely to release for another year.

Orange/Beige trail loop

This is my favorite of the new trail loops. I used to dislike them, but now alpine is at the bottom (of the 3 ultra band styles).
I vacillate like crazy myself on which style is the best but yeah this Trail was the hardest to get for a reason.

Would it kill apple to do some Beige accented ultra face colors?

Additionally, I was sure Indigo was the best Alpine but paired with an actual Ultra the Blue one hits harder. Indigo’s pop was more suited to the mirror finish of the SSS I guess

Yeah the blue Alpine is gorgeous. Its on my pick up list for sure. And my personal favorite are the Ocean Bands. i LOVE how chunky they are. Frames the watch perfectly.

FYI: the „Band of the Year“ vote in the Bandbreite app has started! Votes are counted until December 28th.
I feel dumb, the usual right click isn’t revealing how to vote this year. Help? Yes I’m on iPhone as req’d

Edit: found the tray, I was looking in class of 2023. Maybe force quit made the proper tray appear

We're looking for the 'Band of the Year' and we would love to know your favourite band released in 2023.

Out of the 87 bands from the last 12 months, which one stands out to you the most?
Which band deserves to be mentioned after the Plum Sport Band (2020), the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop (2021) and the Orange Alpine Loop (2022)?

Please cast your vote now for your Band of the Year/2023!
You can nominate up to two (2) bands in total using the Bandbreite App (link below). Look for the matching curated collection on the homescreen. Your submission can be changed anytime until the poll is closed. The poll ends after Thursday, December 28th, 2023 (CET).
