they agreed to sell me Gamma & the original box for $30. Pretty heavily used, but nothing a good cleaning couldn’t fix.
Crazy how people just don't know (or care?) of the market value when listing items. Reminds me of the Nectarine Loop -- got it for $40 CAD (~$29 USD).

Just a slight tweak to my earlier recollection of from-apple vs 2nd-hand: I just remembered -- 2 more of mine are in fact 2nd hand. The 2 Nike loops: Black and Summit. Paid about the same for them ($40 CAD) as they were in very good condition and had boxes.

Hey guys, I still have one of these Zero Mass Apple Watch band boxes left for anyone that wants it. They retail for $90, but I’m only asking for $20 plus shipping. Shipping is $25 from USPS, so $45 total. Here are some pictures of it below, plus a link to it on Amazon.

I just got the folio in the mail today! Many thanks!

That’s funny. I just picked up a Nectarine sport band on eBay last night for the exact same price. I couldn’t figure out which orange to get and I wasn’t going to pay $110+ for the Hermès, so that seemed as good a pick as any.

I missed one for $15 😕

Hey what do you all think the future on the Nike black/pink blast sport band is, desirability and price wise? I have one, only worn a day but it’s not super my style. I’m not sure if I should just keep it for now, or trade/sell it out now for something I like more..

I can see this one getting the same Sort of treatment as Hyper Grape. I don’t see it too often, and don’t think a whole lot sold. One of my favorites though. Awesome photo!
It’s growing on me even though contrast is a bit ... much lol. Not in this photo but bright light for sure. I figure it’s worth keeping even if it doesn’t get the most of wear right now.

It’s funny, a lot of things seemed priced way too high on eBay (there’s an OEM canary yellow sports loop that’s been sitting there for three months at $149.99) but every once in a while you find a deal. I picked up an OEM Flamingo sports band last week for $17.99. I was somewhat suspicious but it’s a reputable seller and lo and behold when I got it it was legit.

I love the contrast in the Nike+ bands. Black/White is probably my favorite of the bunch. Need to get Lime Blast just to be sure, though.

Amen to "contrast" -- long-live the "black base" options, especially in light of the majority of Apple Watches out there appearing to be SG or SB. That being said, the super colourful options have been amazing, too (eg. Gamma, Midnight Turquoise).

PS Jelly of your black/gray.

Very true - for owners of dark/black Watches. As I prefer the silver Watches, I hope this „all black, all the time“ Nike streak for Sport Bands and Loops will end soon ...

No no, I'm saying love-live the "OPTIONS" of black base with each passing season ;)
ie. this recent line-up was a hint of this sort of nice balance.. black/lime (black base) + mt/ag (colour base).

Yeah once you people convinced me I needed it, I got both sizes for 50 on eBay. Praying for the same with lime blast
Have to agree here. Paid $25 for mine and I couldn't be happier with the purchase!
Yeah, got mine at $30 box seal not even broken so I threw it into my small collection. I definitely feel that need to grab something cheap, or something not often seen just to have it. Oh boy, my wallet. I ran out of spending change already. There’s no “spending money” in my house’s budget so if me or my husband want something for ourselves we gotta sell off something else we have first. It works. Keeps us sane on a shoestring budget that otherwise wouldn’t allow us anything fun.

Bought it, once again, off eBay for $15 I believe. Saw a few others on auctions with current bids of $10-30. Not too bad.

If spicy orange is your jam there’s a reputable eBay seller (I’ve bought from them), selling the 42/44mm band for retail price.

Really waiting to find one less than retail in the US if I can. I know it’s hopeful thinking, but I’m sure one will come up eventually. Appreciate the lookout, though!

I wouldn’t worry about the fauve barenia stock long term, it seems like that one and feu epsom kind of dip in and out of stock. As for the comparison to Apple leather it’s no contest...the drape and the fingertip feel on Hermes leather is on another planet. The Apple bands of all generations kinda have this mush meat quality to their insides too, even the thin modern buckle bands kinda feel unnatural even though the space age design doesn’t leave a lot of plush to begin with.

That’s the most basic bish, widespread Hermes so if you can be patient on the resale sites you can prob find it for 200. Sadly fauve barenia also shows its age more than the other ones, whether it’s attractive patina or beat to ***** dark grease, trawling the seller listings can be a little depressing.

pro tip: you gotta search hermes and hermès on eBay. Not everyone spams both keywords. Here’s a modest discount NIB $310. It is 42mm so the curve on the lugs will jut out slightly if you have S4/5

Ok so just to update. I did see some really beat up ones on eBay, you weren’t kidding. I did manage to grab a Fairly mint brown barenia single tour off eBay for 200+10shipping and cancelled by apple order. Hopefully that was a decent price for a Hermes band I can hopefully use for years to come. Very excited!

That sounds good! It qualifies for my “$100 off retail” rule and then some. If you consider the modern buckle used to cost $200, and see in a few days how crazy good the quality is, you’ll feel no regrets. The Hermes drape is almost ”higher resolution” than Apple’s...like if you think about it like keyframe or a person in a mo-cap suit...the Hermes just has more bend points?

I told you, its the black sport band of the Hermes line, they’re everywhere! Just today some guy posted a few to Mercari that looked like a car had run over them (literally the stuffing was blooming out). Now I’m curious what level of darkening and patina it will have and if you will go down the rabbit hole of conditioning/darkening yourself.

I kinda have regrets immediately taking the coconut oil to the gently used brown rallye I found, even though I think it’s better to condition and safely add moisture rather than let it start happening randomly from the environment. I’m just now getting full hog into Hermes as I’ve run out of other bands to collect, so maybe someone who frequents that thread can jump in here...I’m pretty sure the ”grained leather” of the brown rallye is not the same as barenia, and I don’t have barenia (yet!).

I am quite excited to receive the brown Berenia. It looked essentially MINT in the pics, with all the markings, and the seller had a high rating so felt good about the whole purchase. I will certainly compared it to the Saddle Brown Apple 4th gen band I recently obtained also for a fairly low price. I hope to be able to see the difference and may sell the apple one lets see. I hope not to get into an Hermes buying frenzy but honestly the odd artsy Hermes bands while interesting, don’t really excite me as I cant see the use of when I would wear these. The brown band, while susceptible to patina and of more delicate leather, just seems very elegant especially with the white stitching used. I hope these don’t patina as fast as some of the brown apple leather cases we see used on iPhones...those however constantly get rubbed by hands and what not.

Some of the ones on Mercari and eBay looked like they had liquids spilled or the one you mentioned, looks like got run over by a dump truck. for 100 bucks, that one looked like you’re getting the insides jutting out of the band, was not pretty. I like the natural new look and will enjoy it as and hope that it patinas naturally. I don’t think I have the guts to darken the leather myself using moisturizers or what not. Is that something people do artifically after purchasing these $200+ bands? 😬

Well until my “misadventure” with the sensitive rallye, all the swift hermes and various apple leather types love the coconut oil. I would say it’s almost compulsory for the leather loops, the way those magnets are dying to get out haha. Try it on your Apple band first. I’ll prob try to avoid it on the barenia which is already dark. Some of the Poshmark listings where the lady has darkened it for fashion look horrendous but there’s also the case of low lighting making it really drop to black. My mint rallye could also look very dark in mid-lighting photos...

Just keep checking new listings. That’s how I found mine!
As everything I'm seeing is retail and upward right now, I'll believe it when I see it :(

all the swift hermes and various apple leather types love the coconut oil.
Sounds like a good bit of advice you're giving here.. So what about those of us who have just placed an order for the Noir Swift? What should we be using (if anything)? Same question for my Saddle Brown LL and Black (v1) LL?
