Surf Blue is my favorite band. I'm a blue fan but this one hits in so many ways.

Love my Vitamin C too, very 2000's Phoenix Suns and the sunshine is nice but pretty close to Vitamin C in a way. That may be a future sale when it's discontinued.. But I'll give it a spin :)

So far spring 2020 has been a jerk to my wallet:

-Hyper Crimson Nike loop
-Midnight Turqoise Nike Band
-Vitamin C Loop
-Sunshine Loop
-Surf Blue sport band and iPhone case

I am strongly considering the Black/Lime nike sport band and Cactus also

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. I just tell my wife I'll sell them for a profit later on but these ALL may be keepers. lol

Awesome. Do you have Dark Olive to compare it with?

Not yet, but may buy one soon. Good deal on eBay right now for $20.

Only Spring 2020 I’ve bought is the Midnight Turquoise. The rest didn’t really jump out at me enough to get for retail, so I’m waiting until open box units arise on eBay.

I did some band swapping at my desk today, I think SBSS works well with strong coloured sport bands as well as the Nike’s I expected.

The ones I tried:

My wife’s 40mm Black/Pink Blast On my 44mm Watch

I also used my hated Black/Volt for a ride on Zwift and actually liked it (but didn’t take a photo). I guess I might snag a Pink Blast while they’re still around and might have to get a Lime Blast also.

I’ll do another batch tomorrow and can post the photos if anyone is interested. The SBSS thread seems a bit boring / unloved with only 6 pages since the S0 launched, hence posting here.

Looks great, thanks for posting. I'm interested as I'm flipping between getting a natural Ti or SBSS for my next watch.

Do you happen to have Cactus and Delft Blue? I'd love to see what they look like as they're two of my favourite bands right now.

Also, what's that bottom left complication?

Thanks. I’m enjoying the change after almost 5 years of silver.

I have Cactus so I’ll give it a whirl tomorrow, but the Delft I bought hasn’t arrived yet. I’m hoping it just got caught up in the Coronavirus chaos and it might show up now NZ is allowing non-essential items to be delivered again, but we’ll see. It left the UK on 26th Feb so it was already late when the lockdown got strict here. I will buy another if it is lost.

That complication is Battery Graph (or Grapher). The dev posted about it in the Watch forum on here a few months ago and I supported him for the few dollars it cost. It tries to predict how much longer the battery will last based on historic data, and shows it on a graph. It’s still learning the new Watch but it’s been running for a while on my SS.

So are you happy with it? I know my photos were what sold you on it.

Haha they were, indeed! Thanks again :) And yes, I am pleased!

World Indigo / Lime Blast is distinctly "cooler" (blue) than Hypergrape, way less "purple", and far more reflective. To the naked eye, it's it's a different band altogether IMO. I think it gets chalked up to being a Hyper Grape clone for two reasons, both of which are photography-based:
  1. Bad hero shots from Apple. Classic problem. Need I say more? I think not.
  2. Not being "photographable" (as many have said about Surf Blue SB and others). This boils down to two key factors: It's admittedly fairly dark overall (with its black base and muted colors) that it begins to blend with similar models, unless you look at close-ups like yours and my own. More significantly though, the increased level of reflectivity is so overwhelming for an exposure that it makes it hard for photographs to properly depict the interwoven colors.

Hi there,

My wife becomes a collector too, she starts with a Ruby Red modern buckle which perfectly matches the phone case.

Jealous this color wasn’t brought to the 44mm leather loops. Actually, I don’t think we’ve ever had an OEM red leather loop.

Dang, these nylon loops are comfy! $50 is definitely a lot for it, but what the heck. Looks and feels good. The sport band is nice too. I love the way the Milanese looks but I’m constantly re-adjusting it throughout the day. Still itching for the Hermes.... haha. I feel like all this apple marketing is really starting to work on me- who am I? Buying “seasonal” colors and cases!? What a world we live in.

LOL I hear ya!

Sunshine looks really nice. I'm tempted!

I readjust constantly with the Milanese too.

Do you guys notice that the metal lug (adapter) of 38-42mm does not fit well 40-44mm. This happens to Classic buckle, Milanese and Bracelet Links. If you plug the 42mm metal lug into a 44mm watch, you'll see the two redundant small parts at two sides. I try 44mm lug on 44mm watch and it fits perfectly.

Yeah once you notice this, it’s impossible to unsee, but I’d rather save money getting old-style Hermes and have it stick out and of course the classic buckles never lived to see the 44mm era.
