I tend to go with WWDC rather than first Monday in June this year when they aren’t the same day.Wondering if the new sport bands will be released tomorrow because Apple usually releases them at their WWDC event which is normally the first Monday in June but as the event has been pushed back this year until 22nd of June I wonder if they will do it then rather than tomorrow 🤔
Yeah I’m going back and forth on this question...maybe they will split the difference. It does seem weird and out of order to not get a peek at the new bands as they float by in WWDC or September keynote slides (often I will see “new” bands that are just old ones in a very dark light hehe)I tend to go with WWDC rather than first Monday in June this year when they aren’t the same day.
WWDC Starts with a Keynote about the new OS versions and the bands tie in with that. I’m happy to be proven wrong of course!
It’s the same colour as Dark Teal with a blue hole (called Aurora Green...). Dark Teal itself slightly hints Green perhaps, but it’s way more blue. Can I just ask - is the Midnight Turquois/Aurora Green Nike band a blue band or a green band? I’ve seen loads of photos online showing it as blue but the pictures on Apple‘s website show is as green? Which is it?!

This is nice, in an understated way. Not totally my style, I wish the strap didn’t show two colors sometimes, because only so much of it shows on my small wrist anyway.
Going to stick with June 1st personally. I believe when Apple shipped the pride bands to their distributors, they also shipped them the Summer 2020 bands, so they're already going to be ready to get shipped out. Also, WWDC was delayed because it was supposed to be a physical event. Nothing is stopping Apple from shipping out bands as they normally would.Yeah I’m going back and forth on this question...maybe they will split the difference. Yeah exactly I think Timmy wants that pure, uncut accessory profit now, baby. Fiscal quarter ends June 29-30, if we wanna add that to the speculation stew...Edge’s o-face when the fingers touch is me when the new bands hit.A lot of new Hardware released without a spezial event in the Last Weeks.
Products requiring hardware (AirTags, AirPods Pro Lite Plus Minus Ultra Max whatever-the-hell they call them) will probably wait until WWDC as they're more hardware than accessory, but I don't see a reason bands will be held back.Yeah exactly I think Timmy wants that pure, uncut accessory profit now, baby. Yeah, no. WWDC is about software, and about hardware necessary to run, or develop, that software. Thus they may debut hardware that developers will need to write code for, and sometimes a new machine that developers will want, but different fashion colors are never a thing for WWDC. The summer band release and WWDC both happening in June are just coincidence.WWDC Starts with a Keynote about the new OS versions and the bands tie in with that. The root cause is not looters taking advantage of the situation, the root cause is staggering levels of economic disparity, and (largely) white cops who regularly get away with murdering black people, and who then get protected by a system more concerned with keeping the status quo than with justice for all. The looters (for whom, to be clear, I have zero respect) just take advantage of any completely unhinged situation. You see the same thing after earthquakes and such.man, this is why we can't have nice things...
Made my day. If you're gonna loot, at least be smart and grab the lower ticket items Apple isn't going to track. Watch bands, phone cases, that sort of junk is so cheap Apple doesn't log it like they do their phones.Yeah, no. Saw this on Twitter (via Reddit) this morning. Stolen phones / iPads / Macs aren’t going to go far.

Lol the ethical looters dump on the parts market!Made my day. If you're gonna loot, at least be smart and grab the lower ticket items Apple isn't going to track. Watch bands, phone cases, that sort of junk is so cheap Apple doesn't log it like they do their phones.
The only looters who could be described as ethical would be those taking necessary supplies out of a store in the aftermath of a natural disaster, to distribute to those in need. Nobody ever needs an Apple Watch Band (or phone case, etc.) in that way. The rest of it is people stealing because they think they won’t get caught because there’s too much else going on, and some who mistakenly believe that taking an iPhone that won’t turn on is “sticking it to The Man”.Lol the ethical looters dump on the parts market!
Actually that is a very good point. I doubt bands move the needle a huge amount, but they will move it some. I wouldn’t be surprised if the margin on bands is among the highest across all Apple products.Yeah exactly I think Timmy wants that pure, uncut accessory profit now, baby. Has anyone had this issue with their watchbands? Bought this band directly from Apple and it doesn’t click in at all, whatsoever.
Yes in the process of returning the Pride band for doing the same thing.Has anyone had this issue with their watchbands? Bought this band directly from Apple and it doesn’t click in at all, whatsoever.
Yeah, this is the first band that’s done this for me. Wonder if they’re having quality control issues.Yep, bought the new surf blue and same thing. Had to return it. First band ever to do this and I have bought a lot.
Wow, seems like it’s a widespread issue.Yes in the process of returning the Pride band for doing the same thing.
They were good about it. Already sent out another on expedited shipping without waiting for me to ship back the other one, even though their email said they would send out upon confirmation the faulty one was shipped.Yeah, this is the first band that’s done this for me. Yes! Recently happened to me with the pride edition Nike..Has anyone had this issue with their watchbands? Bought this band directly from Apple and it doesn’t click in at all, whatsoever.
I remember having it when the Woven Nylons were first released - quite a few had trouble clicking in. Usually lining it up to where it should have clicked in and wiggling it up and down did the trick, but I never trusted it and returned it. Rebought it a month later and it was fine.Has anyone had this issue with their watchbands? Bought this band directly from Apple and it doesn’t click in at all, whatsoever.
