I don’t think anyone did a big break down with the lime blast...just got the first cheap one to pop up on eBay...

TIL that I've been wearing the sport with the strap coming towards me when apparently it's supposed to be worn with the strap going away from you. But I just tried it that way and I hate it, hate it so I will continue in my apostatic ways.

Ah the sport loop. I’ve seen people express a preference for the way you wear it because they say it looks better. I say wear it however you like it.
Good to know. I always wear the sport band when swimming because the sport loop gets all soggy when wet. The sport loop I save for running, biking and other exercise. Is there a reason to wear the sport loop over the band for swimming and surfing and other water activities?

Ok folks...here we go, after USPS played major games with this parcel, it’s finally here...I think safe to say the weirdest OEM band ever made. Gonna double-post in the Hermes thread, so apologies in advance for that. The stand is the Belkin valet from before they added the iPhone portion, was like $30 from B&H, yes I cleaned it, prob need to bleach pen it.

Yes, that’s a tiger (🐅rawr)...if me from the era when Ed Hardy was all the rage (and the butt of jokes) saw me now...
I swear the watch face matches better irl, but I spent way too much time on it as is, our man in Mississauga is going to help me get the scale and stitches lined up perfectly, although he doesn’t know it yet.

I actually like this band a lot though I’ve never seen it with a white watch. I think it looks quite nice.

Definitely an interesting look. Not sure if I’d personally qualify Hermès as OEM, as the leather is made by Hermès, but rather in collaboration.
Wish I could afford some Hermès bands in my collection. Wouldn’t wear them much other than formal occasion. Sold my link bracelet a week or so ago, so I don’t have much for formal wear.
I wear mine the same way to stay consistent with how I wear my Leather Loops. Just always made more sense to me. You’re not alone!
For the blue experts.... Gen 2 next to a Gen 1 or a very faded Gen 1 next to a new Gen 1?
They don’t seem different enough to my eyes to be completely different gens and the lug colors support that. Yet... they appear different enough. The one on the right came from a sealed box so I can confirm it’s Gen 1.

Judging based on my comparison, I say both gen 1s.

You substituted “looters news” for “protest news”. The impression I get is there’s more peaceful protestors than looters. People protesting police violence. And in numerous cases getting violently attacked by those very same police they’re protesting against. Police in full riot armor firing tear gas and rubber bullets into crowds of peaceful protestors. Escalating situations, when they should be de-escalating them. Handcuffing and detaining news crews who were lawfully reporting on the situation. Hell, they used tear gas and rubber bullets to drive away a crowd of lawful, peaceful protestors near the White House, this afternoon, so that Trump could stroll over to a nearby church for a photo op. Which reeks of despotism. (The bishop who oversees the church was apparently pretty outraged over this. But who cares, Trump got his photo op.) Funny, when it was white supremacists marching, Trump was quick to claim there were “good people on both sides”. But he’s not saying that now. Now he’s encouraging police violence.
Yes, there are looters. They‘ll take advantage of any disturbance. There are also an awful lot of downtrodden, angry people, many now jobless, who are taking advantage of the situation to break things. The ones actually committing crimes should be arrested (not shot). The protestors that aren’t committing crimes should be listened to. There’s decades worth of reasons why they’re angry. Tear gassing them won’t make them any less angry. It’s not about one death, one officer, it’s about one officer who got caught, out of hundreds or thousands who have done similar over the years. Taking real, substantial, steps towards fixing the system would help. I saw footage on the news, of some officers who dropped their shields and batons and started talking to the protestor, and listening to them. They de-escalated the situation. This is the direction we need to go.

doesn't seem like gen 2 on the left, as for my taste... mine gen 2 is more bright and closer to "green aqua" than this. Probably that's a light, of course...
Oh, I’m not envious at all. I mean I wouldn’t even want an Equateur Tattouage. No. Super rare Hermes never available separately you say? Pah, who’d want one of those? In fact you don’t, do you? Not really. You should send it to the other side of the world where you’ll never have to see its weirdness again.
Speaking of weirdness I broke out a Hermes band myself today and went to this place I think is called office. Something like that anyway. I can’t see it catching on and I won’t rush back there anytime soon, especially as I had to ask permission to go and register when I got there.
