It's finally here: The newest version of the chart is now available for download. 🤩.
The all-new, built from scratch chart is the first one available in high-resolution as PDF with full-text search.

bandbreitewatch-chart-preview-20200601-01.jpg.bandbreitewatch-chart-preview-20200601-03.jpg

In the last couple of (very long) days I re-downloaded every single image of more than 350 bands officially released since 04/2015 and rearrange the bands while completed model numbers where possible. The arrangement of colors now more consistent with the updated version of v1 from @emiaj. (Thank you for the continuous updates!) New, better quality images of Woven Nylon International Edition were added as well. The (compact) chart is finally up-to-date. 🤗.

The chart is now available in two versions: A single-page PDF, and a more printer-friendly multi-page PDF with bands from Nike and Hermès on dedicated pages.

To "celebrate" I created a mini-website, where you can download the chart and where you can expect updates in a reasonable time after new bands are announced/released.

Don't worry. Of course, I will keep posting any new updates here, where everything started a while ago.

Download the new chart here: www.bandbreite.watch

Feel free to drop me a line with comments, suggestions and requests.

Know issues: Images are missing for Hermès Single Tour Étain Swift Leather (2015), Woven Nylon Pride Edition (2016) and Hermès Double Tour Médor Deep Blue (2020); Model numbers reflect mostly 42/44m only; Midnight Blue, Pink Sand, and Stone 2nd Gen will be added in the next update (Summer/2020)

This is phenomenal work!

I always had to use my iPad for the other chart, but this is super compact and much easier to navigate and mark up on my iPhone.

Any design reason you separated the Black and Blue Gens, but not Midnight Blue, Pink Sand, or Stone? Just my two cents, but when the Summer colors come it might be nice to separate those too. A lot of people use these as check lists and it’s cleaner to have both represented with their respective pin colors as well.

It’s AWESOME, and I just saw the video for the app design too... great concept!!

Thanks! I am glad to hear that.

And no, not really. Maybe I was a little confused after looking at all the bands, even after I double checked everything. I will definitely add them ”singled out” in the next update.

Thanks! This might be absolutely beyond possible (as for now), but when a designer has a week off, he starts to dream. ;) .

An awesome compact version for sure. As @toxtrepla mentioned, it’s much easier to view on mobile.

I think you should work with @SeppelHut on their iOS app, would be awesome to have an offline app version of this Chart that’s interactive, so you can expand to view more information, compare colors directly, and be able to check bands off your list. There’s a thread here somewhere, but I’ve lost it.

You’ve got some great colors in there! I’m meh on the sport loops, I’ve bought them on multiple occasions, but usually end up just giving them to friends or selling them on eBay. Love your collection of SB colors though.

What color is that next to Black/Volt, by the way? I can’t seem to identify it.

That’s a band that should not be posted on here, for fear of the wrath of a certain store...but I call it wolf gray/black.

We're in touch. ;) I can't wait to see what @SeppelHut is coding and offered my support, but don't want to push his project in any (impossible or tough to implement) direction.

So as penance—er, a fun exercise—in light of getting us a little too hyped for pre-WWDC bands, I sent @jeremyfernie a little puzzle to fill in, old-school SAT analogy style...maybe linen isn’t even a sport band but it seems coastal gray is poised to challenge khaki’s earth-tone crown as a sort of walnut dark?

Great work, looks fantastic! Have donated a couple of coffees, I know it's only small but a little token of appreciation.

meh...

Coastal is really the only one I’d consider. Linen just looks like ocean. No thanks.

True! I forgot.. fixed... I’ll add instead one that I forgot (because it’s on the Watch right now) olive flak/Black...

I’ve been looking the cargo khaki/Black for a while but nothing yet!

You would think us promoting his store constantly and buying like 5-10 bands a year would grant us some air to talk about the wolf gray/black and black/aurora green. Both band pics you can find in this thread by the way, before a bunch of redacted posts by me and other people who got those bands after the initial posts that generated all the hubbub, which we kindly did at his request.

Some cargo khaki/blacks have been going for not crazy amounts on ebay, but in live auction and always with a good amount of grease/shine! I’m waiting for a random seller (most likely Mercari) to not know what they have. Of course every fifth anthracite listing makes my ears stand up not unlike my avatar.

Beautiful collection. I think you’ll find this thread very motivating!

I do prefer the SB too but love some SL bands like the 1st gen red... the black/volt is black/lime blast 😃 as far the other band it’s a gray/black... (not official name)

Yes! And I’ve been trying to be patient to find someday (or maybe never) one with fewer shine/grease/darkness... I missed that black/aurora green, not into that color at the time (I regret now)
