Recent changes: A few pieces of notebook paper, a TI-83 Plus graphing calculator, my math textbook, and a bark blue mechanical pencil.

Ah, the joy of studying for a final. ;)

I hate to say it, but you are the only one that uses a studio display because it is outdated and ugly.

Of course not! Everyone knows that humans don't develop the ability to successfully operate computers or listen to music until at least 13!

But seriously, in today's world, it's not unusual for children to be computer savvy. They are the ones who will grow up to be tomorrows animators, video editors, artists, computer technicians, inventors, software developers, etc. Commenting on the child's equipment ownership, and assuming he has no need for them, is audacious, and critical of someone else's parenting technique. I very much doubt you know this child well enough to be in a position to judge what he needs. The assumption that children are overindulged by having the latest gadgets, or equipment, is beyond me.

Does that mean morals or values can't be otherwise instilled? Does it mean no child is worthy of nice things? This boy is proud of his equipment, and took the time to participate here. It's sad to see his self worth attacked by self righteous comments. Why would anyone even think they have a right to set the standard of what is appropriate and what isn't for someone else's child?

To ClassicFan: Nice setup! Thanks for sharing it with us, and don't mind those who are likely jealous (or ignorant), and try to drag you down.

Those my friend are very wise words ;) I cannot fathom why someone could say that to ClassicFan (sweet setup BTW).

I have found myself in similar situation where people think Im just purchasing things when I have no use for them (iPhone, audio systems etc) just because Im 16 (the interest started at 13); my parents that know me like no other persons on the planet completely understand the use I have for such items and support me completely, they can judge me; they don't. Seriously man, one of the wisest post I've seen in a while, kudos.

People study? Know your SAS SSS AAA but not ASS or SSA?

God Geometry was fun, but the next year I hated trig.

You forgot the AAS postulate. :p I took the first part of the final today. The second part is tomorrow. It should be cake, as it's primarily multiple choice, while the first part dealt with problem-solving and defining various properties and postulates. Even with my vehement hatred of all things math, I have to say that Geometry is really fun.

Anyway, back to my homework! I've wasted enough time writing this reply. :p

Well I have a small story about BOSE.....

Well I bought a pair of..... I think they are companion 2's well they were $69, so then for Xmas I get a BOSE sounddock, which costs $300..... which sounds better? the $69 speakers....

So the moral is, just because it is more expensive doesn't mean it's going to be better.

Oh you are right! It is only 15". My dad said he thought it was 17", and I just assumed he would know.

Anyway, as for selling it, it isn't really mine to sell, and shipping to Finland might be expensive, anyway.
