Don't ask why I have two MacBooks...

I'm 17, everything you see is bought with my own dough.

Why do you have two MacBooks?

you asked for it  :p

But seriously, nice setup. Do you have a link to the wallpaper on the MacBook? It looks different than the one I've seen, but it may just be the photo. Might as well ask anyway.

Alright, I spilled a glass of water on my first one, had to sell my PS3 and Wii to buy another one :( (I needed it for school)

Here's the wallpaper

Thank you.

I've already posted a picture of mine but i have 2.0ghz 20' (Alum) iMac, Wired Apple Keyboard, Wireless Logitech mouse, and an iPod touch 8gb.

BTW...I'm 12

wow, that's even worse. There is no possible reason why a 12 year old needs his own imac and ipod touch. No possible reason. If it was a family computer I could understand.

Of course not! Everyone knows that humans don't develop the ability to successfully operate computers or listen to music until at least 13!

But seriously, in today's world, it's not unusual for children to be computer savvy. They are the ones who will grow up to be tomorrows animators, video editors, artists, computer technicians, inventors, software developers, etc. Commenting on the child's equipment ownership, and assuming he has no need for them, is audacious, and critical of someone else's parenting technique. I very much doubt you know this child well enough to be in a position to judge what he needs. The assumption that children are overindulged by having the latest gadgets, or equipment, is beyond me.

Does that mean morals or values can't be otherwise instilled? Does it mean no child is worthy of nice things? This boy is proud of his equipment, and took the time to participate here. It's sad to see his self worth attacked by self righteous comments. Why would anyone even think they have a right to set the standard of what is appropriate and what isn't for someone else's child?

To ClassicFan: Nice setup! Thanks for sharing it with us, and don't mind those who are likely jealous (or ignorant), and try to drag you down.

This whole "a 13 year old with an iMac!?! you're spoilt" thing is really getting stupid.

If that's what you think, please keep it to yourself. We DON'T need to know...

Quoted for truth. Also, I think the reason why people post their age is because they're proud of their stuff and proud of the fact that they have it at their age. Of course, that's asking for trouble.

I'm 16. And yes, I know my desk is messy :p.

Whoa.. crazy.. just curious, what do you do on your Mac Pro with all that horsepower/screen estate?

I'm gonna be using my dads HP w2207 external monitor for a little bit.
It's hocked up to my 17" MacBook Pro, which is sitting on top of my little white drawer thing that's to the left of my desk.

HDV Editing. I may be in school but that doesn't mean I can't have a job ;).

To make it a bit clearer as to what I use my mac for, though, I've just enclosed a pic of my dock (which I had previously posted in the 'post your dock' page...

Edit: oh, and, by the way, I've already answered that question :p
