Can I borrow your dad for the next Christmas :D?

OH GOD! You seriously own a Mac Pro and you use it to browse with a maximized window???! For shame.

My 4 year old PB can do that with under 25% cpu useage* And he is posting on a forum besides MacRumors!
*with a ad blocker and 100% ram usage. I bet the 10GB helps for web browsing so you do not have to quit the web browser every day and relaunch 2 GB is not enough anymore:)

cant see why you would need all those computers (is it 3 or 4? i cant tell from the image), do you utilise them all (fully).
4, if you include the ps3.

the pc on the left is used for a media server and to see the cameras surrounding the house, the iMac is my main computer.. the internal hd failed so im running on a external one.

the monitor on the right of the iMac is either used for the ps3/Dell inspron laptop/TV.

the laptop monitor is mainly used for watching tv.
i have a tv tuner which is 5 years old only compatible to that laptop.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ME STUFF BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING TO ON SATURDAYS(except doing work for a private server.....)

and heres a daytime screenie. i dont see anything different.

@NoobMac

You're 12 years old.
Isn't there an age limit on this website?
and why do you have a ps3, a laptop, an iMac and what appears to be a Hackintosh?
Are you sure it's not your dad's stuff; AND you have an iPhone.

You must be one extremely spoilt kid, or a kid claiming things that aren't his.

Shouldn't you be outside playing or something.

a little harsh :) of course i agree but whatever, in this age of technology they seem to be raised on it younger and younger.... i was designing websites in full html in the 3rd grade.... not too amazing but still.

I can see your face glowing green from here. You shouldn't open a thread like this with opinions like that.

I wish I had ANY intel Mac. After seeing the kids with Mac Pros and 2 30 inch monitors I feel like I have almost nothing with my 1.67 PowerBook and 17 inch external monitor and broken 14" iBook G4 1.2 GHz

I need a new computer bad but my parents do not think so. I have never gotten a new Mac always used. 3 years old when I got it and it is now 4. (3.75 really if you count months)

Just my 12" iBook G4.

-1.5 GB RAM
-40 GB HDD
-OS X 10.4.11

I love this thing, I wish I could use it forever.:)

I have enough money to buy a low end MacBook but I it has taken a long time to get this money and I do not want to spend it all at once.

Bah, who needs Intel anyway?:p

But really, just buy a used MacBook if you want one that badly. They can be had for around $6-700.

But I really want a MacBook Pro and they are $850 min and I want a 2.33 GHz C2D which is more than what I have.

EDIT: Post 250!

What do you need that much power for? I know my iBook, with it's lowly 1.3 Ghz G4 is more then enough for what I do. (Which isn't saying much, but still.) Do you do video editing or something your PowerBook can't handle?

Occasionally

I want to learn how to program and my PB takes a long time to compile stuff

PB VS MB

GMA 950 < ATI Mobility Radeon 9700

15" > 13" (this is very important to me. just look at my signature. the screen sucks on both really.)

Mini DVI < Dual Link DVI (which my PB has)

Glossy < Matte (Glossy in car = big picture of the sun on your screen)

Core Duo > G4

Backlit KB > Standard KB (I actually use this a lot)

MacBook Pro fixes all the negatives of the MacBook over the PB.

I need more ram than a Core Duo MB can handle 2 GB is not enough. I know this from experience because I run out all the time on my PB. I have less than 256 MB RAM free with my normal workload open. If I add Photoshop of iMovie to the mix I run out quick.
