How do you find the Korg? I'd kinda like to get a controller with pads...

I like it a lot! You can program it up to anything you want, take a synth for example: Creating melody-lines and new patterns on this is so much more inspiering and gives you a whole new idea of playing with an instrument (normally you would worry about hitting the right keys but the padkontrol makes it more random, more playfull) it´s also brilliant for programing beats and trigging samples. You probably don´t need it if you have a midikeyboard but i´d recommend it if your stuck and need inspiration or just fancy something new to play with :D

I don't really like programming drums with a MIDI keyboard. Pads seem much more fun and give better results.

Have you looked at the M-Audio Trigger Finger? A highly praised drum pad controller.

I second that. Actually, I firsted it, but that was a while ago :D

The triggerfinger is good, but I actually find the Padkontrol even bether. It has more features / knobs and that x/y pad is brilliant for controling effects and filters

So in other words you drink alone and wake up in an empty bed and your computer. ;)
I guess if I had drank while I was underage I too would wake up to an empty bed with a computer next to me.

I've only just noticed this. Yeah, haha, I wish I was underaged, then maybe I'd have a chance with you Jessica. The amount of posts to your name are highly indicative of a housebound teenager ;)

Haha, anyway, I didn't even realise this thread was for people 18 & under, perhaps I should take a look at, I dunno, the title next time.

Finally got the wireless keyboard I've been waiting for. So far I love it, especially the Mail/iTunes/iPhoto/Firefox button built in it. Everything is paid for on my own, no being spoiled for me :(

Whoa, I haven't posed on here in such a long time. I'm a Freshman now at MCAD (Minneapolis College of Art and Design) and just moved off campus into a house with some friends. Here's my set-up!

Is that the Inspiron 8200?

I used to have that same laptop and WiFi card. God how I hated that thing! The screen was tinted yellow and the battery lasted about 10 minutes. Plus it weighed as much as a baby walrus. I do not miss Dell. But I can't escape them, everyone I know uses them!

Interesting... Yes, I do own the wifi card.. it sucks. I mean, it REALLY sucks. I get around a bar of signal at 30 feet from our router!!! Ah well, I got that card dumpster diving, so whaddaya expect?

That's an 8000, BTW. I actually am rather fond of it. The battery lasts four HOURS and it's circa, like, 1999. It's running a 600MHz P3 that scales down to 500 when on battery power, it's pretty cool. Not to mention it has the best keyboard on a PC laptop EVER. (However, the trackpad and mouse buttons don't work.)

I'm actually kinda keeping this as a favor to my friend's mom (NTM myself), he used it to communicate with people before he died of a brain tumor. It's pretty much the only thing I can remember him by.:(

(sorry for long post)

I'm 17 and I don't have any pics but here's the text of it:

MacBook Pro
2.2ghz, 2gb RAM, 120gb, glossy...
Ipod video black
Airport extreme

In our house we have 3 everyday laptops (one is mine, the only mac), 1 old laptop that just sits there with a HAM radio map for my dad, 1 everyday desktop, and 2 desktops that get used every now and then. I built 2 of the 3 (refurbed one). We kinda over-do the home office crap i guess...

i meant, of course, except those ThinkPads... I miss my T41 so much :(
I miss my T20 so bad, my MacBook just doesn't fill the void :( Well, as soon as I can justify upgrading my laptop (probably not until the warranty runs out in another 2 years) it'll definately be another ThinkPad for me :)
