That printer looks as if its going to fall off with a nudge to that desk.
lol those ol' epson printers are very stable and heavy!! still a fairly good printer 2day.

iphone ;)
i blew my macbook savings on the classic and new desk and chair,
so i had to start all over :( but the desk is the base of any setup so its worth it

im 17....purchased alll by me is....

iMac 2 ghz 1 gb ram 150 gb hd 17 inch screen
ipod touch 16 gb with case coming soon
bose headphones for the pod
bose speakers for the mac:D

Not bad.
Bose makes awsome noise cancelling headsets, i really want an aviation headset from them, but it's about $1200 and then next leading ANR headset is only $850 so tough choice :( Also i could buy a computer, or lots of flying time with that kind of money

Consider buying the normal bose headphones ($300 sticker) and a mic attachment that converts them to aviation headphones. It will end up at under $850 and sound great.

Have you done this yourself??
I'm not sure it would work, you'd also need a conversion so that the input would be the proper size, i think it's bigger than that big audio headphone plug, also it might not stand up as well, the aviation headset is pretty sturdy, and the ANR in the quiet comfort might not stand up to the extra noise in an airplane. The david clark ANR sets sometimes have that problem, and the aviation headset also allows you to plug in your cell phone, or music.
And if the batteries die, you might as well not be wearing any noise protection at all, it has half the battery life.

I've posted my set up many times, but I just thought I would show you what it looks like now that I moved my iMac downstairs.

I want to get a 23" ACD (once I have money). I'll either get it by the end of the year, or wait until Macworld.

since everyone is post their age... I'm 15 - 16 in 14 days.

I'll post another when I get all situated here.

Just a quick question for people at college in the US.

How does the 'dorm' situation work?

Do you get to choose who you share with or meet them in advance? How are the rooms setup, do you share all living areas, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom?

Doesn't it get a bit much at sometimes? What happens if you have one guy who goes out and brings a female (or male!) home every night and you get another who just sits in-front of his computer all night.

It just strikes me as a load of hassle that the colleges could do without.

In most, if not all, UK universities you get your own room with communal bathrooms and cooking facilities (some people even get their own bathroom).

It varies from school to school, there is no one standard and a lot of schools will have several options of different type of living styles(traditional, apartment, loft, a few single rooms), but it really depends on the school. The traditional setup is usually 2 or 3 people to a room and a communal bathroom on every floor. My first year at uni I chose my roommate from high school because we were attending the same college. Sometimes people have no choice, but if there are major problems most schools will allow for some room shuffling. More times than not you are stuck with the person and their quirks. Which is why there was no way in the world I would live in a dorm without knowing my roommate prior. I have my own apartment off campus now. A friend of mine has a girl who has sex all the time in the room with no regard to her being there and its a mess. She stays with me a lot because her roommate is a total inconsiderate ***.

That is what I was thinking. On one hand the universities can say that it will save them money have people sharing rooms, but the trouble that it must cause would far out-way the savings to my mind. And also in some circumstances it isn't going to aid a students work and there the college would loose out again. I just think its crazy! hey-ho.

I think so too. I do not like the idea of living with a complete and total stranger in the same room. I think its gross personally which is why for the first year I roomed with a friend. Then after that I have lived in apartments either with a roommate I know or alone.
