Bass, your set-up is almost my exact dream set-up!!

Hey man, I need your help. I just got a Pixma iP1000 printer but I haven't been able to make it work. I've downloaded the drivers but when I try to choose the one or the model it doesn't show me the iP1000 model. I've used almost all the BJC ones but nothing. I'm really frustrated and since I saw you have one please tell me what do I need to do. I have Tiger.

Thanks a lot, I appreceate your help. My email is luichba@gmail.com

Bye

I'm 15, and my setup has changed since this picture (traded my PowerBook for a PC, for HDTV/Maya purposes), but its a general idea of how it looks.

That's a Apple 30" LCD, PowerBook 1.67GHz, 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM. Now, the PowerBook is gone and has been replaced with my custom-built PC. Had to switch to PC (but still use an iMac at my moms house) for playing back HD content smoothly, as well as faster rendering times with Alias Maya. Those pictures can be found here.

I'm sorry for the large picture sizes that probably mess up the website for many of you with lower resolutions, but I don't have any software instaleld on my iMac (G4, 700MHz) to make it smaller, so that'll have to do for now.

Why not just get a G5? They are great with HD content and rendering. Beats out most PC's, besides...its sacrilegious to use a PC on a Mac monitor :p

Ha, I chose not to get a G5 for money issues. I know, sounds crazy with a 30" on the desk, but that was all paid for by me, and it took a LOT of saving up. A G5 with everything I'd need would cost upwards of $2K, the PC I built for $1100, yet it has a 3000+ Venice (OC'ed to 2.3GHz), 1GB RAM, 7800GTX, 250GB HDD, and plays back HD VERY smoothly. Plus, I can game on my free time too :).

Latest setup... 2 iBook G4s. My main computer is the iBook plugged in on top, the other iBook is on the bottom (broken/cracked LCD) hooked up to a 15" MAG LCD and an Apple Wireless Mouse and Keyboard. Works nicely. Just like a Mac mini but better (8x SuperDrive) :p.

An iMac G5 20" 2GHz will be replacing that 15" LCD :D
How did you break the LCD, dropped it didnt you. I hope you cried for a few days when that happened, because you killed it man...you abused it, thats a federal crime, your iBook now has the chance to develop stockholm syndrome, I hope you know what you've done :p
