to be honest: i like the right one more :D
but they are both very nice displays. good setup g5 with 2 displays and a powerbook

:) I also prefer the "Studio Displays" with the plastic bezel - even though they are virtulally 99% incompatable (ADC Connector). I diddnt know G5's have ADC connectors?

Oh well they look cool! ;)

The don't. You can get a card with a DVI and ADC port on it or you can use the standard card and pay $100 for an adapter.

I like them both. The Cinema Display goes much better with the G5 and PBs and IMO looks more clean and modern. The Studio displays went very well with the QuickSilvers and MDDs. They also have a bigger bezel which looks nice if its a single display but isnt as good for dual spanning.

ya i know... ugly and a very outdated monitor but give me a break I just got a mini 2 1\2 weeks ago

no, you don't. i'm so sick of this " i mowed a few lawns as a kid and now i have thousands of dollars and plenty left over ". MY PARENTS LIVE OFF OF ME BECAUSE IM SO RICH OMGBBQ. Admit it kid, you live off of your parents.

If you can't handle the fact that a kid has a nicer setup than you, please do not read or post in this thread. Half of the posts now are how we live of our parents.

I personally do not live off of my parents, half my "income" has to go to savings and half can be spent on w/e i want. I worked hard for what I have and I dont have to pay rent, income tax, pay for food and all that junk that Im going to have too deal with later in my life. By buying this computer I actually realized that if I set my mind to something and work hard that I will suceed. Isn't that a great leason to learn?

So please, please, please stop crapping up this thread. I dont care if you believe me or not. Just leave if you can handle it. Thank you.

Yeah, I agree, I know the Cinema Displays are much more modern and go nicley with the G5's and all the modern Apple gear, thats what there designed for isnt it?!:)

I really do like the design of the MDD G4's and the Quicksilvers. All the Apple stuff from that era does it for me, My Dads got 2 Dual 1.42 GHz MDD G4's and 2 x 22" Cinema Displays (the plasticy ones :) ) Although the G5's are a lot more modern and "clean" I prefer the Design of the G4 system, it lookes awsome. My Dads going to upgrade to G5's soon but I've told him to wait for the Intel systems, his gears pretty good but he apparently "needs" more power to get into Video Editing.

Thanks, Joe.

I'm getting tired of everything talking about the damn money thing. Look if the parents of these kids really want to buy them $2,000 computers then that is their business, and if you have a problem with this, then just shut the heck up and leave to post somewhere else. This a thread for posting pictures of setups for everyone under 18, not for arguing about parents buying nice setups!

O and BTW, my mom and dad bought my eMac! :D

Agreed 100%... but don't feed the troll. ;) Rather than argue, ignore him. He's not worth the trouble.

Agreed!

And honestly - It's not a problem that your parents bought your computer. I feel so bad for some of these kids coming in and posting their setups (that their parents helped pay for) only to get bashed because of the fact.

Seriously - who cares whether a kid or their parents payed for their setup?

I think it may be time for a mod to shut down this thread; like you said, it was neat when it started, but then the trolls moved in :(.

Given the number of posts in the thread, I assume people have wanted to post their setups or see those of others, so let's leave the thread open.

If there is further bashing or trolling, please report it and the posts will be removed.

Those not interested in the thread should ignore it.

Perhaps if you report neighbors who don't clean up after their pets, shopkeepers who overcharge you, people who talk in theaters behind you, pokey drivers in your way on the highway, friends who forget your birthday, etc., the MacRumors moderators there will take care of those for you too. ;)
