I think he means Upscaling (the attempt to convert a 'standard definition' picture into a high definition one).

Generally the picture is a lot better...

Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. When I was tryping it out, I knew that wasn't right, but I just couldn't put my finger on the word I was looking for, so I just went with upconverting. :p

Wow, a lot of you have Very Nice setups!!! I'm in the process of buying a new desk today for my iBook, also I'm going to purchase an iCurve. I've seen pictures of some people who has had them and they looked great!!! I will get a picture soon!

not final yet

As I said before I'm in the process of buying a new desk. This isn't the new desk. It's VERY messy in the picture but still, this is just for right now. Have fun, don't comment on the messyness.

It's great except it's REALLY messy! I just don't know how much I can stress that it's incredibly messy and you should clear up all the mess, for heavens sake...

Also, some little dork's grafittied all over your room incase you hadn't noticed...

I got my new desk today. It was supposed to delivered wednesday but they damaged it. Then it was supposed to be delivered thursday but there was no package on the truck. The truck driver was baffled at how that happened. I felt bad for him- he drove 33 miles from Springfield, Ma (40min) nonstop just to find out he didn't have my package. They also billed me 2x for 1 product. I called up Staples, bitched at them, and they ended up giving me a $20 gift certificate to my next purchase at staples- not bad.

So I got it today (friday), I lugged the 80lb box inside. opened it, and brought it into my room in parts. I assembled it which was not too hard but it took about 1.5hrs. For $59 (plus my $20 gift card) its very nice. Its very stable and strong. It does not really wobble at all unless you push on it hard. Obviously it is not as strong as a solid mahogony desk but I like it and it was a great deal.

I'll upload so pictures tomorrow.

Here is my newest set up. I have some cable management problems that I will have to sort out. I have a nice large poster that I am going to hang up- but since my mom is a neat freak or something, it has to be framed first. I love my new desk though.

nice setup, for $60, not bad at all. why no desktops?

an Apple sticker on your calc...clever..I might do that to my Ti-89

Wow, I love that desk. I think when i get my next paycheck i might have to run over to staples and buy that. If they dont have it online....well i may order it. But i dont want to have the stuff that happened to you happen to me! lol.

Hey CompUser. I noticed that your creatures have a blue lighting under the speakers. Are they really blue or is it just the lighting or something? And if they are blue, did you buy them like that or did you mod them?

I'm done playing 20 questions for now!

I didn't know the Hi-Fi came with a remote. Then again how else would it work? I guess I overlooked that.

Also, the HiFi has 2 buttons @ the top. But yah, the remote is a necessity.

Haha, They are the original JBL Creature I's which had blue lights. The ones they sell now are Creature II's.

I think they jacked the price of my desk back up to $80, but its still not that bad of a price.

I'm finding my desk too small now! :(

At least I didn't spend any money on it, but I need a nice cheapo one here in the UK....

Sorry about the funny angles on the first one - I did a photomerge in PS and it had to compensate for the different perspectives. These are my main machines, aside from my MacBook Pro, but it doesn't have a desk to itself so I won't post a pic. Every single main machine is Intel based by now for me, except my web server.
