oooooo mac pro. I would bolt it to your floor so no one could steal it lol

Yeah like anyone's going to run off with a computer that weighs almost as much as the building it's in...

Hello, everyone. I'm 18, and a first time poster. Even though my setup may not be as impressive as the rest, mine does the job even though it's messy. All was bought with my own money. And sorry about the awful pictures... Enjoy.

<snipzorz>
Above you can see my MacBook Pro, and Xbox. The display can be used by either. Behind the MacBook Pro is a 160GB HD dedicated exclusively to videos. Also, I'm proud of the customized mousepad I had made. Nothing spectacular, though.

<snip>
This is the other half of my desk where you'll see how my Xbox games are held together by some Goosebumps bookends I've had since I was a kid, and the rest of my stuff.

And that's it.

Pretty nice setup. Just tidy a little up;) :D

And that's it.

how do you find gaming on such a small monitor?

Not bad, really. It's a 19-inch. But sometimes when the games require a more engaging experience, I take the Xbox down to the living room where there's a 60-inch HDTV -- if it's not occupied by other family members.

I'm 17 and from Somerset in the UK. My setup is as follows: -

Sony hi-fi (cheap - i am a student!)
4th Gen iPod (20 gig)
Macbook 1.83 GHZ, 1 gig RAM

And IKEA desk :)

That's a very nice setup, how do you like the wireless mighty mouse? I'm really digging the macbooks the more time goes by.

I agree, it shows how classy a low-budget-student setup can be. I like the MacBooks, too, my brother and sister have the two white ones. I hope I'll be getting a BlackBook next year. Go Leopard! :D

Ah hahaha... Check mine out... All 14inches of it... ;) Still plays quite well tho, advanced scart makes such a difference. Buy one if you have a 360!

If I'm not mistaken, it's all mathematical -- if you know the formula / pattern, it's really easy to solve.
that's correct, my brother goes to caltech. The previous world record holder goes there as well, my brother knows how to solve 2x2 3x3 4x4 and 5x5 although the 5x5 takes him ~10 minutes. its incredible watching someone solve it in 11.3 seconds:eek:

To be honest I can't remember, I got it a while ago. I think it was about £30, and it wasn't classed as a desk, just one of those table things people put behind their sofa's! it isn't very deep, but my room is small anyway so i haven't got room for anything bigger :)

thanks for all the compliments everyone! this is the first mac/computer of any kind that I brought myself, and I just thought I'd go the extra mile to make it a decent experience. Hopefully my iCurve and wireless keyboard will come today!!! (i'll post some pics when they do:))
