I'm definitely finding it to be better than my Pixel Fold but as expected nowhere close to my S24U or 15PM. More than adequate for sure but just not a battery powerhouse by any means. That's where I wish it would have had faster charging speeds, but for the most part I'm always somewhere that I can charge it up. If I'm out somewhere for a long night or something I may opt to take my S24U or bring my Anker magsafe charger with me. Definitely not a deal breaker although I do catch myself wondering about what Google and Oneplus have in store with their upcoming foldables

It would be nice to have a little bit faster charging speed.. The other day I was sitting at 26% and I want it to give it a quick charge before I hit the gym and it got up to 50% or 55% somewhere around there which was good enough to finish out the night but with phones like the OnePlus that bad boy would have been close to 100% by the time I left for the gym haha

The faster charging on the OnePlus isn't linear and would taper off above 60%. All phones and EVs do this to preserve the battery. You get fastest charging during the first half, then it slows. That said, yes, the OnePlus would've ended with more charge.

If I'm on a trip or know I'm in for a long day away from a charging source then I carry one of these super slim power banks in my wallet. Also works great now that the rest of the family's iPhones are also on USBc. It's on sale too right now for $10, half of its normal cost.

I purchased this a couple years ago... I take this when I‘m going to be away from home for a long period of time. I don‘t have to take my Galaxy Watch charger/cable.

This one is my goto for on the go charging and main reason why I always purchase a magsafe compatible case.

I was thinking of getting a MagSafe portable battery charger…. But it’s one of those situations I like having that wireless pad for the Galaxy Watch (eliminates the need to bring an additional cable). If I didn’t have a Galaxy Watch… I’d go with a MagSafe charger.

However… I wouldn’t mind getting a MagSafe stand, but I haven’t came across one I really had to have. Right now, I’m currently using a MagSafe ring-like stand.

I have this one from Belkin and absolutely love it. I charge whatever phone i'm using at the time on the upper left, and either my airpods or galaxy buds or pixel buds on the bottom, or wirelessly charge my second device I may be using at the bottom, and my apple watch ultra is usually on the upper right.

This seems to be the thread to watch. I must go for it and say my foldable is a Consumer Cellular flip phone.
I don't want a smartphone nor will my eyesight allow it. Not having a fancy phone is my only break from technology. I don't drive so someone who does the driving has a phone, a flip phone too.
The latest Iris Easy Flip from Consumer Cellular is supposed to be running a flip version of Android 12.
My next phone.
Okay, carry on.

The biggest issue with that 'thought process review' is how they complain about the weight...

To be blunt, how weak are you if you can't cope with 200 odd grams in your hand etc...?!

I may be talking out of turn with being a competitive powerlifter & idiotic lifter of all things heavy, but seriously, phones are not that heavy and if they are too heavy for you, is a foldable really the right phone for you (simply they're always going to be a lot heavier - the mainstream ones at least)...

Endeth thy rant 😂
Yes!! My sentiments exactly!!

Well I've never been a power lifter and I'm a REALLY skinny guy the past year, no training barely eating at all let only consistently day to day nor healthy, nor been in the gym regularly for more than 30days in the lat 9mths, I'm not a weakling!

We're talking grama here. I'm still carrying a knapsack, and it's a LOT lighter in total weight than the books iPad to carry in college or even secondary school.

It's as if the complainers never went to college or university prior to the pandemic! Even office users I've worked with since 2007 complaining a laptop is too heavy to carry when the entire industry reduce the weight of laptops by 3-5lbs minimum in that time frame. These people are not glo bal decathlon or extreme long distance runners, record holders, or just malnurished!!

Finally! A real world and properly done camera comparison with REAL tangible items of WHAT the camera does and what SHOULD be considered when taking photos!!! All the other YT'ers he's mentioned that attended the launch of always delivered simple "hot topic twitter-like sound bites" showing their parroting ans typical lack of understanding what the majority of people USE with a smartphones pictures!

I especially enjoyed and applauded his focus of skin tone(s)! Crucial in my opinion, born of a darker skin.

Boxed my Pixel Fold up today. Going to drop it off this afternoon to send off for trade in. All in with the Z Fold 6.
I should have dropped my trade in off the day I posted this 😂 Opened it up last night and now I'm using the PF again. Gonna use it a couple days before I have to make final decision. I just love the front screen and feel in hand. The ZF6 definitely is more of a powerhouse but in honesty I dont use many of the extra functions. Mostly just a big screen that I can use in split screen mode. All gonna boil down to the s pen most likely for me. Still love the Pixel Fold camera.

This ^^^

Popped into Preston this morning as needed to change some € back to £ and popped into the EE shop to have a look at the ZF6, had my 15PM and Pixel Fold in hand so I could compare...

I cannot get on with the Samsung front screen; it's just too narrow and with a case on as well (I won't use a phone without a screen protector and case); it'd make it even worse as you'd be fighting to get to the keyboard where it's right under the case itself...

So for me, it's ruled out on that basis... Shame as it felt a superb phone in the hand; but like you, there's so much on there I'll never use and I never used the S Pen in any of my Notes (1/2/3/4/5/8/9/10+ and 20 Ultra 5G)

The Pixel Fold is a great phone; the size IMO is perfect. Great front screen and then the opened inner screen to boot...

And I agree re the camera also; it's very good indeed

That's why I got rid of mine and sent it in quickly lol. I like that apps are better tuned for the fold 6 and the screen just pops with how bright and awesome when viewing. I think the crease has been improved tremendously from previous models. I love how light the phone is for long periods of use.

I agree on all points. It's definitely a superior device in most cases. It feels very premium and the crease on the PF is so noticeable after using the ZF6. Decisions, decisions.

See I have no qualms re the crease; I don't think it's that bad at all. Compared to the ZF6 today; it wasn't like a 'look at how bad it is in comparison', to me at least...

The only niggle I have with the Folds is how reflective the main inner screen is; more so when trying to read or watch something on it... But it's not a deal breaker in any sense

I never keep phones that long so it's an easy decision for me. I can always swing back to the pixel in one of the next generations.. My game plan right now is to wait till Pixel 10 unless a good trade in comes along for the latest upcoming

Yeah the reflective display is a pain. From what I've read the OnePlus open had more of an anti reflective display. Definitely keeping an eye on the next OnePlus open release

I like it. Much closer to the OnePlus Open which I think is probably perfect form factor. I would have got one if it had wireless charging but no wireless charging is a deal breaker for me
I'm looking forward to the one after this one I think it's going to keep improving maybe we get some of those options that we like added to it.

If anyone is interested in the fold 6 s pen case in gray I just pick one up from their site for half off I paid $47 plus tax.. I figured I can't beat that price for just having an extra case

Do we have any ideas of the measurements of the new Google Fold compared to the current Pixel Fold?

It looks like it may be taller and narrower to me and that could be a concern
