Do we have any ideas of the measurements of the new Google Fold compared to the current Pixel Fold?
It looks like it may be taller and narrower to me and that could be a concern
My thinking is let's keep working with what we have now and work our price down a little bit instead of adding more to the lineupI would like to see Samsung release next year a Fold 7 FE, at around 999$. Would be awesome, but probably would cannibalize their Fold 7 sales.
My thoughts exactly! There's always the Flip if a potential buyer wants a more affordable foldable option. My thinking is let's keep working with what we have now and work our price down a little bit instead of adding more to the lineup

I'm thinking we're not going to see that in the US? That's a nice looking red though lolOnePlus Open Apex Edition unveiled — new AI photo tools and a stunning color | Tom's Guide (tomsguide.com)
Not sure if this has been discussed. But seems strange for OnePlus doing a slight revision when supposedly they are planning on releasing OnePlus Open 2 at the beginning of the year. I'm curious... what's the strategy behind this? I know Apple had brought out different colorways midcycle for their iPhones.
But this new OnePlus Open is rumored to be adding additional RAM.
When OnePlus launches a product it is normally released in the US… if it was OPPO then perhaps it would be a different situation.I'm thinking we're not going to see that in the US? That's a nice looking red though lol
The faster charging on the OnePlus isn't linear and would taper off above 60%. All phones and EVs do this to preserve the battery. You get fastest charging during the first half, then it slows. That said, yes, the OnePlus would've ended with more charge.
If I'm on a trip or know I'm in for a long day away from a charging source then I carry one of these super slim power banks in my wallet. Also works great now that the rest of the family's iPhones are also on USBc. It's on sale too right now for $10, half of its normal cost.

I purchased this a couple years ago... I take this when I‘m going to be away from home for a long period of time. I don‘t have to take my Galaxy Watch charger/cable.

This one is my goto for on the go charging and main reason why I always purchase a magsafe compatible case.
I use this Aukey one though no longer on Amazon where I purchased
I see it at Walmart now and I like that it has the flip out for placing on the table

And yeah, I’d like to see a red Galaxy Fold… I recall I bought a red iPhone (or maybe it was the iPod Touch) back when Apple had the “Product Red” campaign.
Yeah the reflective display is a pain. From what I've read the OnePlus open had more of an anti reflective display. Definitely keeping an eye on the next OnePlus open release
Well, I'm glad I didn't go caseless (as tempting as it was). Fold6 had slipped out of my shorts pocket somehow and as I exited the car I felt something hit my shoe and next thing I know my phone is face down on the parking lot asphalt!
Fortunately, no damage to the phone itself and no scratches on the screen protector either due to the raised lip of the Samsung S Pen case. However, the impact left an abrasion on one of the corners and rubbed off the dark blue of th3 case, revealing black underneath. I've barely had the phone two weeks. Oh well, it was bound to happen and that's what cases are for.
You do know that Oppo owns OnePlus and the Find N3 is the OnePlus Open through and through - including that Red one OnePlus will soon deliver. I posted the N3 version several months ago in this very thread I believe (YT video).
To me THAT was the Open's killer feature, even more than the multi-tasking implementation or dock. Unfortunately I'm not finding any good in-depth reviews of out of box software nor in using it - as an actual device (not this part and parcel specific points). THIS is why MOST people stick to a phone they've settled into because they have no idea what USING a competing device is really like.
The Find N4 / Open 2 WILL be a serious kit with that SnapDragon 8 Gen 4 and together with the Fold 7 BOTH will be the litmus paper reference for the competition for a really balanced use.

That’s thing with a fold line the UI is just so polished. How's everyone's Fold 6 running ? My battery has settled in right about the time that I turned off AOD.. running smoothly and enjoying being back on Samsung
You hit it 100% on the nose. UI and all the tweaks really make it stand out. That’s thing with a fold line the UI is just so polished.
I can see why people prefer it in the foldable line
My plan is wait a few phones and get a fold 6 on a good deal. Or see what this galaxy slim is about in October. You hit it 100% on the nose. UI and all the tweaks really make it stand out.
Everything is running great on mine. Battery has been fantastic and OneUI is smooth as butter as it is on my S24U. Pixel Fold sent in for trade in. BUT, in typical me fashion, I let my curiosity get the best of me and found a deal on a gently used OnePlus Open on Swappa that I couldn't pass up. Thinking I'm gonna run the Open on my personal line and ZF6 on my business line. The 15PM is sitting on the sidelines right now as I have RCS up and running on my wife and kids' iPhones. I just don't feel tied to it anymore even though I still love the camera and many things about iOS. I'll probably keep it, the S24U, and P8P around for the cameras for concerts/vacations/sports events, but I really enjoy using a foldable full time and am looking forward to trying the OnePlus Open form factor. How's everyone's Fold 6 running ? You got yourself a nice little stable there my friend. I've always wanted to give that OnePlus a try maybe sometime down the road. Yea I've heard too much good about it and figured I had to give it a try. I'm likely done until the Open 2 next year 😆You got yourself a nice little stable there my friend. I wouldn't buy an Open at full price right now but if you find the right deal on Swappa it might be worth giving it a shot. I'll give my thoughts after I use it for a bit. I can always relist it on Swappa if its not to my liking.
