I have been loving my Galaxy Z Fold6. I traded in my Black Fold5 for this White Samsung online-exclusive, and I am so happy with the change. The small increase to the outer screen has been nice, and noticeable. I definitely can see that it's an incremental update, however, it's quite refined at this point. Here it is in my favorite case that I've found so far for a fold-- it is the Ringke Fusion, and a Spigen screen protector on the front (ugh, the case made it lift a bit- will work on that) but still, love that it does not add much bulk to the phone and is softer than a typical all plastic case, with it's TPU type bumpers. :)

Hah! I got the same color and case.. Except, I opted for the magsafe version and Ringke's tempered front glass. Love this device!!

The content you quoted from the article is criticizing OnePlus Open inability to have different layouts from the inner and outer screen… I didn’t see anything from the article praising Samsung multi-tasking. The ability to have different inner and outer screens doesn’t have anything to do with multitasking (imo).

The article is presented fairly… doesn’t swing heavy in one direction, one minor complaint for me is not fully grasping the idea with multi-tasking. Because no one has answered my question on whether or not two audio sources can play simultaneously with the OnePlus Open, is that not considered part of multi-tasking?
Read the article again, it specifically stated how multitasking was better for to the layout differences between the outer vs inner screens. That's the point. Also the software overall was started to be more thought out. Despite the editor stating 2017 reference. I think u missed that.

You ever tired the phone? Or you're speaking from hearsay? I have the global version of the honor magic v3 and it's software is not ****. I've also owned all the folds except the open and they all have good software, they can't match the Samsungs software but they're good.

After owning so many folds the V3 is my favourite closely followed by the vivo x fold 3 pro and the z fold 6, I still have the z fold 6, it's a dark horse, I really didn't think I would. The pixel 9 pro fold is very promising. The vivo x fold 3 pro I found a bit heavy but it had the best camera of all the folds.

My V3 thoughts are still ongoing and on this thread:
You have a pre release unit. So nobody has it yet really, lol. I've briefly co owned a Fold 5. Was impressed. Not about to invest in a product without full international or national support where I live. Been there dinner that over 20yrs starting with the Motorola MPx/MPx300. Never again. Same with the iPaq H6430,

You starting Samsung software can't be match basically agrees with my statement, more or less. Either way what's so great about the v3's software over the others??

The Fold 2 lacks photo features the regular 9 has, which is a mother Apple trend to do. Don't let the looks cool you. It's always about the total package.

I don't think he missed anything. I read and interpreted it the same way. Grasping at straws here.

I had a look at the Magic V3 at IFA in Berlin yesterday and I was a bit jealous and almost regretted getting my Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 from a hardware point of view. It made it look "dated". It really is that thin and light!

However, I think I prefer OneUi and Honor customer support is supposedly even worse than Samsung. This is also one point to consider.

I've been looking at videos and reviews of that phone very impressive.
So when someone tells me they don't want a wider outside screen on the Samsung phone and that they are not able to do it because this or because of that I'm just going to save one of the videos of the magic V3. The phone folded is pretty much the iPhone 15 Pro Max

I agree, it's tosh...

The ZF6 is very narrow; the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the 9 Pro closed; the previous Pixel Fold was even smaller (albeit a bit thicker)

Folds are always going to be a niche market and appeal to a certain few etc; but they are and will keep getting more popular

Not exactly..outer display on the V3 is 6.43” vs. 6.7 on the 15 PM, which also has a higher pixel density. It’s actually smaller than the new 16 Pro and closer in dimension to the Pixel 9 Pro (or 9 Pro Fold outer display).

Thank you, actually was thinking smaller phone not Max but my trigger goes with Max always ha, but we are always in spirited discussions on our forums and I come across people defending the narrow front with reasoning that they can't really make a comfortable phone with wider front or lose battery size but it can be done .

Regardless, I love the size and aspect ratio Google, OnePlus and Honor are using—truly ideal size for outer display and yields a damn big inner display as well.

Yea they have really hit the sweet spot as far as size of the outer display. I've really enjoyed using the Open. My ZF 6 has been getting ignored the last few weeks. I'll probably put it up on Swappa after my P9PF arrives today.

I'm not going to lie, it could get bigger and I'd be even happier. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold isn't that much thicker than a large traditional smartphone so I'd love if it was 6.5-6.7", depending on the size of the screen bezels. An 8.3" inner display would literally be the size of an iPad Mini. 😍

I know many would find that too big but I'd love it.

Went ahead and bought the Galaxy Watch Ultra instead of the latest Pixel Watch, the deciding factor is that I like the integration between the Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Buds....time to go build my Watch band collection ;)

Great choice. Love mine.

I'm tempted to try out the Pixel Watch 3 since I'm mostly using my Pixel 9PXL but its an inferior device in almost every way other than slightly better integration with the Pixel.

My thoughts exactly. That's why I've poo poo'd the short lived idea.. It also looks nowhere near as well put together and the GWU can be had, brand new for the same price, if not a bit less...

I’m a fan of the Pixel Watch design… I like the whole UI when I bought the original Pixel Watch, just the smaller size didn’t appeal to me. And I was hesitant on going with the Samsung Watch Ultra because I’m not really fond of Samsung decision to go the squircle design.

But getting $300 trade-in for my Watch 4 Classic… figured it was time to pull the trigger.

Lovely stuff 👌🏼 Look forward to seeing how you get on with it
Setting it up now… I’d give some initial impressions on when I get it on the wrist. Have you guys started collecting watch bands?

Just the Ultimal velcro ones for me as they fit and fit well... Most of the others are too small for my wrist

I didn't care for the squricle design at first either but most of the time now when I glance at the watch I don't even notice anything except for the round screen

I can't wait to switch to a triple foldable. Man, the Huawei Mate X3 looks incredible, and it's super thin too. This is definitely a phone you can easily use as a tablet. This is going to be the next big thing in the foldable market.
