I did get a small scuff when I was trying to take off the Latercase frame which pissed me off lol I was mad at the fit but maybe it's not all its fault.

Well that just ***** blows!!

Yes, I've been reading about the Navy blue ones chipping... I wonder if that color being $100 cheaper over the other colors (samsung.com) as I type this..has something to do with this defect !

I almost got the blue (it's gorgeous) but ended up getting the white at the last minute..

I hope you got Care+ !!

The thing that really sucks about this scenario is that Samsung is notoriously picky about providing warranty work on phones with the slightest amount of physical damage.

So Potentially if your screen fails, and it has paint chips, they will blame you for dropping the phone.
Yup, their post sales team is a joke! (Chat, or phone)

I'm glad I opted for the Care+ when getting the Fold (especially since I usually never get any extended warranties!! )

Thanks, Samsung does that with their phones where they discount a couple of colors depending certain times after a release.
I do have Care+ but it’s not scuffed enough for me to claim.

This could be a test run… to see the demand of this device.

Because the price could be insane… but if alot of folks buy it. Then it could become a global release, but I‘m personally not interested in this device… since rumors claim it doesn‘t carry S-Pen support.

trolling?
by a phone company that just released their 1st IPx8 folding phone while Samsung has done it for 4yrs straight? By the same company that through their phone in a low water washing machine? LMAO I've been caught in rain showers here in Toronto with more water than that washing machine and in less than 30 seconds drenched and many phones I've owned over the years lasted without issue - Ever since SonyEricsson being the 1st company to have ANY IPxx rating on ANY phone GLOBALLY.

Sorry but a weak washing machine doesn't prove any water resistance in real life to me - especially under corporate controlled environment. And that troll engraving seems childish at best.

Not sure what anything about folding screen has to do with camera's but oh well.

Sales not looking good

Seriously?! Really?! You both out faith in an X troll, not even an 60% accurate leaker foe sales data?! No other source just his words ans no inkling nor proof of connection for ANY data source?!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ where this world is coming to when data is presented and nobody asks any questions nor thinks for themselves about where the data came from.

I still have reservations about OxygenOS, but Open Canvas should be the template for multitasking on folding phones. Gliding between three apps is refreshing, with each given the proper space.

I’ve preferred One UI over other Android skins for several years. I enjoy the reliability and quality of the software updates, never worrying whether my Bluetooth or Wi-Fi will stop working with the next patch. It’s well-designed, stable, and runs wonderfully on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

It’s also baffling how Samsung realized we want different layouts for our outer and inner displays while other foldable OEMs force us to maintain the same layout. I’m tired of moving apps around on my Open’s external display, knowing I have to be mindful of how they're positioned when unfolded.

They are entirely different experiences, and I’m glad Samsung treats them as such. The outer display is allowed to be more like a traditional smartphone, while I can rearrange the inner home screen in a tablet layout.

This editor heavily contradicts himself:
Says Open Canvas is the model for multi-tasking saying Samsung is stuck in the year 2017, YET, praises Samsungs multi-tasking abilities keeping the external screen layout of such separate of the inter al screens layout!

You can't have both and hate 1 but not the other!!

Articles like this are always intriguing even if they further confuse prospective consumers even more.

You ever tired the phone? Or you're speaking from hearsay? I have the global version of the honor magic v3 and it's software is not ****. I've also owned all the folds except the open and they all have good software, they can't match the Samsungs software but they're good.

After owning so many folds the V3 is my favourite closely followed by the vivo x fold 3 pro and the z fold 6, I still have the z fold 6, it's a dark horse, I really didn't think I would. The pixel 9 pro fold is very promising. The vivo x fold 3 pro I found a bit heavy but it had the best camera of all the folds.

My V3 thoughts are still ongoing and on this thread:

The content you quoted from the article is criticizing OnePlus Open inability to have different layouts from the inner and outer screen… I didn’t see anything from the article praising Samsung multi-tasking. The ability to have different inner and outer screens doesn’t have anything to do with multitasking (imo).

The article is presented fairly… doesn’t swing heavy in one direction, one minor complaint for me is not fully grasping the idea with multi-tasking. Because no one has answered my question on whether or not two audio sources can play simultaneously with the OnePlus Open, is that not considered part of multi-tasking?

Agree on all points. I love the Open Canvas multitasking but hate that I can't have separate layouts for front screen and inside screen. It was two different subjects, no contradictions whatsoever.

Regarding your question, I tried to run spotify while watching a Youtube video after I read your post the other day but forgot to chime back in with a response. I was not able to do so. So if that is important then obviously the ZF6 would be a better option.

Pixel 9 Pro Fold embargo is up. Now to decide if I sock away some cash for a new car or have a very expensive autumn.

I have been loving my Galaxy Z Fold6. I traded in my Black Fold5 for this White Samsung online-exclusive, and I am so happy with the change. The small increase to the outer screen has been nice, and noticeable. I definitely can see that it's an incremental update, however, it's quite refined at this point. Here it is in my favorite case that I've found so far for a fold-- it is the Ringke Fusion, and a Spigen screen protector on the front (ugh, the case made it lift a bit- will work on that) but still, love that it does not add much bulk to the phone and is softer than a typical all plastic case, with it's TPU type bumpers. :)
