The slight edits I made to the control center on B1 were erased with B2. I half-expected this so I did not spend a lot of time customizing CC. Nor have I done much to the home screen, as this has created big problems in previous beta cycles.
The article lists of few specific carriersMaybe, but that isn’t what the article says. So it is indeed wrong.
Yeah apparently it's starting to work for people now..I tested RCS with a colleague today at the office who has an android and it worked just fine
They’re supposed to work 24/7, no time for familyI sometimes wonder if the people designing it actually use it. And if they do, are they just bachelors?
Agree completely. They have to scrap this or else it’s gonna be another Maps fiasco. The photos app really needs to be completely remade. It’s just an absolute mess in this beta.
Also I can’t save photos from Google.
I’m well aware. The article lists of few specific carriers
Over on Android, I've been part of the Google Messages beta program since before RCS. When they added it and people started using it, my messages cache started getting huge, with all the locally-cached gifs and custom images and stuff. Gigabytes instead of a couple hundred megabytes. So I shut it off for a while when my space was low, and now clean it out a lot more often. Some users appear to prefer SMS over RCS for some reason.
The article does not say that the toggle shows up for *every* carrier which supports RCS. So it’s not wrong.I’m well aware.
“Right now, the RCS toggle only shows up for U.S. iPhone users who have a carrier that supports RCS, which includes…”
The list isn’t exclusive and I meet the criteria. So they have failed to provide the caveat that actually there are plenty of US carriers that support RCS that aren’t in fact enabled. Ergo, the article is incorrect.
I agree, I don’t like scrolling up all the way or tapping just to select my photos. So glad they addressed the power button in Control Center. That was super irritating.
The new photos app is terrible. Just give us folders already and be done with it.
And give us “Folders on Top” in the files app already.
It’s still wrong. It doesn’t need to use the word ‘every’ to imply meeting the stated criteria means it should be displayed. The article does not say that the toggle shows up for *every* carrier which supports RCS. So it’s not wrong.
Also, relax, it doesn’t even work yet. It’s just a placeholder toggle at the moment.
Well there are two levels of work:All right, we’ve gone through hours and hours now, has anybody else gotten the RCS to work. I see a couple of mattering of people on various threads saying it works.
