There is no magic pill to cure it, but I get it controlled after 10 years
Sorry to learn you suffer migraine. There is no cure. A prophylactic can be prescribed but some of those are hit and miss also have side affects OR even cause Migraines.
As you progress in years you will learn to tell the signs of an oncoming migraine (aura) and that is the time to act by taking pain killers. Taking any oral medication once the migraine has started is a waste of time as the stomach will not digest them!
Migraine do lessen as one ages. As a young teen I belong to one of the first migraine clinics in the country and was very much a guinea pig. The two professors of medicine where very good but such research was in its infancy. I had to carry a diary around with me for 18 months detailing how I lived and how my life style linked with my attacks. It was complex and bought me zero benefit though hoped others latter may have benefited? University was a nightmare due to the florescent lighting. Happy days, not.
Weather is another trigger in some people. Light is one major problem (optical disturbances). Any sort of flickering even if we cannot see it tends to cause many sufferers a problem such as florescent lighting.
BTW Migraine are not a headache with nausea. They are a much more complex illness. The cause of the pain is well known and documented, its generally an increase in the production of 5-Hydroxytryptamine, Modern research questions that as being THE total factor but its certainly the main antagonist. Why this imbalance occurs is another question?
Many different types or classifications of migraine with many theories and many triggers. One has to manage ones own migraine and learn, with time, what some of the triggers are, how to avoid them and most importantly to recognise the early onset of the migraine and to prevent it from becoming full blown.
Fortunately if the attack is extremely severe one can be treated at an A&E with an intravenous drug that helps most sufferers. Twice in my life I have actually had a migraine in the eye? Felt like my eye was going to explode. Scared the daylights out of me and my GP sent me to the A&E department. Enough of that....yuk yuk yuk
Point is and back on topic, if any optical stimulus causes pain or eye irritation we MUST avoid contact with said stimulus.
The eye does not self repair and once the optic nerve is damaged we are screwed.
IF one is certain the screen of the iPhone X causes any eye problem, as it did with me, its best avoided. There are numerous other mobiles available, I purchased the iPhone 8 plus and am happy with that along side my Note 8, both wonderful devices.
Best wishes to those who do endure migraines. You have my sincere sympathies.

It's not an eye sight issue people.
Errm, yes and no. I know what you mean, the problem is not an eye sight problem as in needing glasses (it could be that as well though) The problem is caused by a visionary disturbance. The optical nerve becomes sensitive and one of the many issues is this will pass onto the CNS causing the tummy problems also headaches or dizziness etc.
Persons with perfect eyesight can be affected with this 'problem'. I think that is what you mean? That is true.
