Same here. Also the Oneplus 13 and Honor magic 6 pro.
Oneplus 13 is too big for me. Xiaomi 15 will be 6.3 inch. Its really a shame , i love my iphones but the eyestrain makes me feel sick. Im sick of it. Samsung is even worse,if they had dc dimming i would have gotten a samsung. I hope the X15 is good enough. It will have a ultra sonic fp reader which is good, their screens are good, the build quality is great, i dont care if its a chinese phone,i will jump back if Apple does anything to mitigate the PWM problem.

Samsung is the source of evil. They are the supplier for Apple and Google Pixels. In January the S25 will be presented. Perphaps they made some improvments, but propably not

Honestly, if the Pixel had DC dimming i would have jumped ship to the 9 series. Shame. I have no choice but to get the X15,just the price will be near 1000 euros here in Holland.

I don’t really see the point in trying iPhone 16 when I know there’s a 99% chance it’ll be the same extremely minor improvement as previous generations that it isn’t enough to practically or comfortably keep it. Otherwise, I would have already ordered one and probably also try iPhone 16 Pro during the extended return window.

But again, what’s the point?

If we go by measurements then yes iPhone 16 and 16 plus should be better than the pro models as the modulation is around 15-20% at 85% brightness and above, whereas pro models are at 50% modulation even at 100% brightness , but everyone is different , for me 16 plus works way better than 16 pro, and now i am using 16 plus as my daily driver and i am really sensitive to pwm.

oneplus 12 was dc like 120hz with ultra antiflicker turned off and that worked pretty well for me. If in future ip16plus doesnt work for me then i will probably move to OP13. But the funny part is that the feature designed to help with flicker is actually inverse of it , turning it off is way better .

Strange thing is, the 15 Pro and 16 Pro have the same display, but the 15 Pro is easier on my eyes. Cant understand this.
Yea i have the same problem , how can Pro models be better than Non pro with that high modulation , i cant tolerate 16 pro but i can use 16plus , which is correct if we go by measurements , but many people are fine with pro and not Non pro

So you would recommend the 16 non pro instead of 16 pro and/or 15 pro?
it depends on your sensitivity level , for me 16plus works but for someone i know 16PM works for him , and 16 plus doesnt work at all for him.

Nah man, cant stand this. Something has to be different on the 16 Pros screen compared to 15 Pro. Gona sell this and get a new 15 Pro. Not worth the strain.

Remember- staring at any screen for 3 hours is going to bother the eyes.
It’s like people are saying, “I walked 20 miles in these new shoes and they gave me blisters. I’m returning them.”

I rarely get 30 minutes of screen time on my iPhone — in a day.

Get on it, do what you’ve got to do as quickly as possible — then get off. No dicking around.

You have to be aware that staring at the screen for hours on end is generally not healthy.
I still have no significant problems with my iPhone 16 with 30-45 minutes of screen time a day.
As for Android devices, the only option for me would be a Google Pixel, and even that would only be in an emergency, as Android is unbearable.
There are so many things that just don't work as smoothly on Android as they do on iOS. And that would annoy me every day.
Nobody does the synchronization between devices as well as Apple. They are by far the best at it.
