I wanted to give a quick update on my experience with the iPhone 16 Pro. Bought and returned the same day. Eye strain, headache, motion sickness, disorientation, and just not a good experience. Will try the iPhone 16 Plus next. Surprisingly, Apple lists similar symptoms that may occur while using Apple Vision Pro. Hopefully iPhone 16 Plus works.

I have now used the iPhone 16 Plus for 4 whole days without any complaints.
It doesn't cause me any problems and i enjoy the great technology. What a leap to the iPhone SE 2022.
I can only recommend that you try the iPhone 16 Plus because it is the best OLED in recent years.
Of course, in relation to complaints, because as i have already written, i have no problems.

I'm on month 9 using the 15PM (only OLED Ive tolerated and took the 3rd different try) and while I had about a 2 week rough spell, I've been back to an estimated 95% good experience. That said, there are several camera upgrades I like on the 16PM and I would benefit from 1TB storage. I am contemplating trying the 16PM but I wonder if the hassle is worth it for the upgrades mentioned. They matter to me, but do I risk disrupting a good thing with my 15pm? Alternatively I can appreciate what I have and see what the 17 brings. Maybe the 17 Thin will be cool. The indication the 17 Pro and PM will be aluminum to reduce weight is intriguing to me as well given I like the larger phones. Well, IF I do try the 16PM, I will share my experience with you.

Hi, did you ever use the Iphone X?

Since the X I cannot use any OLED, no idea why the X was completely pain free.

I have tried a few phones since with no joy and never considered the plus due to its form factor being larger than I would like. However I am temped to try after reading your success.

I have just popped into my local store and the Iphone 16 & Iphone 16 Pro hurt within seconds but the plus didnt bother me for the minute or so I played with it.

I am in the same situation as you! Iphone X with iOS 14! Have you updated to iOS 16?
I too have always tried the “small” iphones: 14 pro, 15 and 16 pro but my brain explodes after 10 minutes.

Saturday I tried putting an LCD screen on iphone 15 but the pixels have outrageous response times... there is a ghosting effect that kills me! I will get the original screen put back on and I'll give it to my mom for Christmas.

I will try a 16 plus at this point...we have to adapt!

I couldn't stand the iPhone X at all, it was really bad.
The only thing I could use without any problems was the iPhone 12 Pro.
At the moment I'm also using the iPhone 16 Plus. I would recommend you try it out.
I had no hope at all that it would work, but I wanted to test it again. And it works perfect.
I'm more than happy and I don't care about the size. The large display is beautiful.

I'm jealous of those who have been able to use any OLED iPhone. The X was the one that made me realise I have a sensitivity. It's crazy to me that anyone sensitive is finding the 16 Plus as usuable as it ranks as one of the worst for me, while the 16PM is 2nd or third to the standard 13 being the best, but still unusable long term. It does read like those having some luck now have had luck before. My sensitivity is clearly very high.

My iPhone 11 is now at 80% battery health which is garbage for my daily usage. I'm dreading getting a replacement battery in case Apple break or damage the phone. I have no back up options! This alone has me wanting to just buy a new phone and have the 11 as my back up.

I'm tempted to try a 16 Pro and maybe a 16 in yet another last ditch attempt. I feel like the 16 Pro is my safer bet with pro motion off, as the 16PM was good for two full days. Just can't be dealing with Christmas shoppers if I need to return to store. First World problems.

Also I only tried a 15PM last year, with no joy, so the option to try an alternate 15 model is there.....

I am on an Iphone 11 and stuck on IOS16, I updated to IOS17 and got a reaction and was lucky enough to be in the window to roll back.

A couple of months ago my Iphone 11 dipped under 80% battery and I booked an apple appointment.

I cannot go beyond IOS16 without headaches but they stated they'd need to increase IOS on my phone to enable it to talk to their testing setup whilst changing battery.

I stamped my feet a bit and managed to speak to a manager who agreed they'd go 'off piste' and do it without being hooked up to their system but I had to take responsibility and risk that it might fail. Luckily all was good and I'm back and firing with a new battery.

I just need to wrap it in cotton wool until I get chance to find a solution with my next phone..... in 2056 no doubt.

Is there an extended return window for Apple UK purchases now with xmas?

I might get a 16plus and have a play for a few days here and there and see what happens

I still have no problems today.
I think I did it. I can finally use a current iPhone.
I am so incredibly happy because the 6.7 inch display, and that
technical equipment is a real joy. Thanks Apple.❤️

Really happy for you, now turn off software updates and stick on that IOS, no point in risking an update rendering it useless to you.

I've got Apple care so can get a "free" battery replacement. I don't want to update my iOS as I'm on 16.7.2 but also need Apple to deal with the phone if it breaks - so I'm locked out being able to take the responsibility.

An iOS update has never affected my symptoms.
Not on the iPhone 11, the iPhone 12 Pro, or the iPhone SE 2022 either.
I always use the latest iOS version and will continue to do so.

I'm looking at non-Apple options. The Mi phones have non-OLED screens.

I wanted to provide a quick update on my experience with iPhone 16 Plus. I don’t want to jinx myself, but iPhone 16 Plus is working awesome for me so far. I will test for 14 days and provide an update on how it goes. Good luck everyone.

I'm no longer alone with my positive experiences with the iPhone 16 Plus.
That's nice to hear. So I recommend everyone to try it out if they haven't already.

Having read this thread through over the years it seems some of you struggle through and try many of the new iPhones in the hope you get one that doesn’t give you issues.

So now you have an iPhone you can use you want to get another phone? Are you mental?

There is absolutely no need to upgrade from a 15 Pro Max to the 16 PM, I’m pretty sure a little extra storage and negligible camera upgrades could work be worked around!

Stick with what you have.

Completely agree. Take the win and run for the hills

Have you applied any settings to your iphone 16 plus?

Changed anything which might relate to eye health etc?
