explain please.

Put a link to the Giz story, and the Macrumors story, in the auction.

I think it was a mistake to make it a 9 day auction. 9 days is an eternity on the web. In 9 days, the blogs will have forgotten the story, and bidders may retract their early frenzied bids if they have too much time to ponder them. You should have made it 3 days, and the hammer would have fallen before everyone stopped caring. Just look at the "iPhone with factory photos already on it" story...who cares now? No one. That phone wouldn't get $500 at auction.

If it does get bid up high, I predict a ridiculously high bid by a zero or low feedback time waster with no intention of paying. Sorry to be a pessimist.

Where's the "Buy It Now" option

Go ahead, pick some ridiculous price that's been offered here at MR and see if someone bites on it, say somewhere between $4000 and $10,000.

too late. you can't change the price or terms once there are bids.

im thinking if Apple really wants the Air back they would bid and win it on ebay instead of asking it back from you to maybe save face?

hehe im gonan join in onto the bidding frenzy too!

So Brett33, are you in Texas or Kansas??

Moved to Kansas in Sept (school), and hadn't posted one here until Monday night and didn't even think to update my location until it was already posted. Actually, when I initially bought the laptop I had it shipped to Texas (confirmed PayPal address) and then went home last week and picked it up.

I don't mean to knock the original poster down but why in hell are the pictures all showing a smudged up MBA? Could you at least cleaned it up a bit. The metal bottom looks like old rustic metal and the screen looks like it was wiped with a dirty cloth.

I didn't want it to look too perfect and be accused of creating it in Photoshop.

Smudges are difficult to perfect in Photoshop.

NO! Steve Jobs touched it, so you can't clean it! ;)
