Hi,
Looks neat. Do you have any promo codes for this now or coming soon?

Thanks

File Cabinet Pro is $29.99 (sold on AppTyrant.com here). There also is a "regular" version on the Mac App Store that is currently $9.99. The main difference between the two versions is that File Cabinet Pro supports setting up a 'File Cabinet' folder in iCloud. This feature is not available on the Mac App Store version.

I do plan to release a demo version, but I don't have an ETA on that at this time.

I see the Mac Store version is now also $29.99. Is there still the difference between the one from AppTyrant.com and the Mac App Store? I have three computers and the 2 computer limitation from the AppTyrant.com is not appealing as the Mac Store version will not have this restriction. Can you clarify?

Note: You may use a single license on up to two Mac computers.

Hi,

Apologies for the delayed response. The main difference between the two versions now is that the Mac App Store version is sandboxed (as required by Apple for App Store apps) and the version sold on AppTyrant.com is not. Essentially what this means for you as a user is that the Mac App Store version has less permissions out of the box, and to use certain features may require a little more configuration by you.

As an example, on the Mac App Store version the "Favorites" sidebar section is empty out of the box. On the version of the App sold on AppTyrant.com there is a default list of Favorites including the Documents, Pictures, Applications, etc.

You can add/remove directories to/from the "Favorites" sidebar on both versions but the Mac App Store version is more restricted, by default. For the most part we try to keep features the same on both versions, unless it isn't technically possible.

Note: You may use a single license on up to two Mac computers.

The two computer limit on a license key is used to promote fair usage of a single license. You are correct that App Store purchases are tied to your Apple ID. If you have any more questions about the app feel free to get in touch with me here: https://apptyrant.com/contact/
