So far today iOS 11.1 Public Beta has been good. No major flakes. I’m thinking my IPP on 11.0.1 is having Bluetooth issues.. or my K811 keyboard is finally dying. 11.1 PB has been stable today. Only a few calls but no crackling. Battery seems good. Off charger today at 8:30 w/ normal to light usage today and now at 4:50 PM I have 77% remaining.
[doublepost=1506718267][/doublepost]Pretty sure I’m taking my IPP to 11.1 PB as well.

Is anyone else experiencing a crackling static noise from the earpiece during facetime or cellular calls? Strange thing is this noise happens randomly, roughly 1 in 3 calls. This is happening on iphone 8 plus.

UPDATE: Issue has since been confirmed to be fixed in 11.1 developer beta. Wait for official release.
[doublepost=1506722256][/doublepost]I am having the same issue. Hope they going to fix it soon ((

Well I guess I should order another 8+ through ATT and hope this time there is no debris behind the rear camera lens. I will update it to 11.1 Beta if/when I do get another one.

Out of curiosity, how did you find the debris behind the lens?

I remember this happened to me on my 7 plus!
Did you get it replaced? I shipped mine back on Wednesday to avoid the $45 restocking fee that ATT charges. Thinking about ordering another one soon. I also considered the Note 8 or S8+. Something is telling me to stick with the iPhone 8+ though..
[doublepost=1506760151][/doublepost]Not to mention I already bought a case, fast charger/cable, and wireless charger. But if I did go to an android phone, my wife could use the iPhone accessories I bought since she will be upgrading to the iPhone 8 or X

iPhone 8 and two 8+’s here. They all do it.

Hoping that software update is the cure.

Same here.
Just got an 8 plus yesterday in Hungary and crackling is there...

“Apple said that the issue only affects a 'small number' of cases.”
I guess it depends on what you compare it to...

No, but how could a software update solve the problem if it isn't an issue with all devices
Because Apple sources parts from multiple vendors
Even some chips like the modem can be totally different physically but have the same functionality

I dont know if i'm just lucky or not, but i havent noticed the crackle in 2-3 days now. Still on ios 11.0.1 too

Damn, this whole situation has me seeing red almost. I took the 8+ to ATT to return it. I explained to him that it had debris behind the rear camera lens and mentioning the crackling noise. He suggested putting it back in the box that it was shipped to me in, and slap the return label on it and drop it off at USPS. So that way I could avoid the $45 restock fee. I chatted with ATT today just to see if they received it yet. The guy I talked to said that since the box was opened (I did use the phone for a few days) that I still had to pay the restocking fee. WTF! Had I of known that, I would have just insisted at the ATT store to return it right then and there. If I had done it that way, I imagine I could have ordered another one sooner..
[doublepost=1506798099][/doublepost]The guy from ATT also suggested going directly through Apple for 'warranty issues' like that. Well that's true, but I did get the phone through ATT? I just assumed I would deal with ATT directly and let them figure out how to get me a replacement..
