Good Lock is the bottleneck for me, if it wasn’t for that…. I’d happily switch. And we haven’t seen what Samsung has done for One UI 7 on the Fold… but regarding hardware, OnePlus Open 2 certainly take the crown.

I’m looking forward to seeing OneUI 7 on our folds which has me debating my next move haha

No S-pen, no buy for me. I don't understand this move by Samsung... I already know they gonna come up with some statistical data claiming only a small segment of users were using the stylus, but regardless having a stylus is a big differentiator.

I would be really surprised by this and hopefully it’s not part of a larger plan to completely phase out the S-Pen on all devices.

With the way the S25 came out this year they might just do it.

Well, as much as I don't like the removal of bluetooth... it's not as bad as removing S-Pen support entirely. And the fact, there's still a silo for an S-Pen... I personally don't see doing away with bluetooth as a big deal as the tech media has made it out to be.

And removing the S-Pen for the purpose of making it thinner... I don't know, the value is not adding up for me. I like what OnePlus is doing with their upcoming foldable... but Samsung trying to compete with them for thinness when we all know that there's a digitizer layer on the Fold that prevents it from being that thin.

It would be different if there was no history of supporting a stylus... OnePlus and Pixel has that precedence. Yeah, I'm disappointed... this is not a good look.

I'm not s pen user but I totally agree , I don't even mind the thickness of the Fold 6 and taking away stuff to make it so thin is a disappointment..

From what I read in some media, the Spen would use another type of technology to continue using it in the foldable, and that this technology would also be used by the S26 Ultra so that it could have the magnetic magnets integrated and there were no problems.

"Despite the removal of the digitizer, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will purportedly support the S Pen"

The Oppo Find N5 will be the successor to the OnePlus Open. It will be available worldwide, except in the U.S. market. It features the thinnest crease to date, and I plan to replace my current foldable, the OnePlus Open, with it. Going for the black colour this time.

Interesting

As a previous owner how do you rate their software optimisation, updates etc?

The flip interests me, the fold into tablet mode honestly does not.

I personally don’t like the screen feel on any foldable I have used. Prefer glass and know it is a big / impossible ask on a foldable.

Unfortunately, the OnePlus Open 2 will not be coming this year...
