I don't see that. I have purify on right now and am able to post. What happened when you tried?
That's really weird. Couldn't post last Friday (UK time) as text box was unresponsive. After playing around, whitelisted MR and and I could enter text again. Just disabled whitelisting for MR now, and back to normal again. False alarm.

Probably an unrelated bug that got fixed.

I see that I'm being offered the v7.2 theme selection, which is the same as the normal one, except all icons are wrong.
Ignore 7.2. I'll turn it off

Hi Arn, something strange. When I'm quoted my old avatar is copied into the new post.

Not a big deal, just for the record.

Cheers

EDIT: perhaps only a TaT issue, can't see this in my browser...

There have been some fixes deployed

- Thread Starter back
- New Thread button normal sized
- Forum jump at bottom still broken

Let me know if you notice any other issues.

Is the padding on the sides of the sub-nav bar intentional? It looks nice on mobile devices, but a little odd on the desktop site, especially when expanded to full width on my 27" iMac:

I see the same thing on my MBP and desktop PC.

I just noticed a Mark as Read button next to each thread title - was this turned on recently?

I think overall, I'm not really keen on seeing that, seems to add to the visual clutter of the forum.

I see it now too, though, I don't mind it, and I think it will be useful for me.

+1. If it was a simple icon instead of the text "Mark as Read" by every unread thread, I wouldn't mind as much.

I know this should be obvious and i am not being sarcastic, but can someone explain to me the point of the Mark as Read button. Once you have read a thread it changes colour so why would you need to mark it as read.

Some people like marking threads as read that they dont' want to read. Also, it makes some more sense when you use it in the trending threads tab which is still in development, and ironically the mark as read buttons aren't there yet, but will be :) https://forums.macrumors.com/trending/

Many times I like to mark a whole forum as read after I've looked at the threads that interest me, and skip the ones that don't. By marking the ones I skipped as read, the next time I look in the forum, all new threads and threads with new posts will be bold and easy to spot.

I'm not keen on the Mark As Read links either. As others have said, it's really cluttering to the page. And for how I scan a list of threads - especially in the New Posts view - it's really disruptive to quickly scanning the forum that each thread comes from as the Mark As Read link carries more visual weight.
