I just noticed the ability to contribute tags has been added.

Ya it's been there. I've turned it on so anyone who can wiki edit threads can add tags to any thread.

I was happily marking threads as read, and then I'd read a thread, return to the page and find that all the threads I'd marked as read were back to showing unread, so I didn't pay any further attention to it.

Hmm that's not supposed to happen. Can reassess when we turn it back on

I just this second noticed that! It's kinda cute...now to see how well they work.

:( Same as before. I mark a few threads read, and no more popup on those threads. I read a thread, and when I go back, the marked threads are no longer marked.
Are you sure the page has reloaded?

So if you tap on mark as read, the thread should unbold, and when you refresh the page, you are saying it is bold again?

I hit the "New Posts" button. I mark the first 3 threads as read and tap the 4th to go in and read. After reading thread 4, I hit the back button to resume where I left off, and the first 3 threads are no longer marked read.

Try a different browser?

Don't use the browsers back button, instead click the New Posts button again to get back to the page. I bet they'll show as read if you do it that way. :)

I like the new trending threads feature and tend to look at it often. I also like the 'your news feed' page too, but forget about it because it's under the profile drop down. Could this be added next to trending threads, or in the main submenu nav bar? Maybe get rid of the wikikposts button, I never look at that one, and wonder if it gets used much by others.

ya I never use the newsfeed either. I guess you have to follow enough people for it to make sense.

Glad you like the trending. It's not what I'd consider completely ready. But I've been using it myself. There's still some styling changes coming to that too.

I noticed a lot very nice new features in the the last time. Great work! Thanks! :)

But the whole website feels slower every day. And now since about a day, I get a lot of those messages:

Request Timeout

This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.

:(

It can't be my Internet connection. Every other website is loading normally while that happens.

It's possible since we added some new features but I haven't noticed a speed hit. Anyone else seen timeout errors?

If you see that error again can you post a screenshot?

Thanks

Maybe just bad luck, that I am mostly the last one who hits the limit. If it were a widespread issue, there would have been a thread by someone, before I wrote it here.

It was always just a blank page with that text. But I can make a screenshot if it happens again.

I'll note that the neat hidden Mark As Read links are always visible in Windows on both Edge and Chrome.

Coincidentally, I just left this thread then refreshed the "watched threads" page.... and it just sat there about 30 seconds then gave me this error message. Had this happen once yesterday also. All other web sites and my connection seem to be working well. MR on is on my adblock whitelist, so its not that.
