Buffieeeeeee, loved the movie, the tv show was eh.Nope. I read a few Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics I got free somehow as an adult. But a kid growing up in the grungy hippy dippy inflationary 1970’sin a neighborhood of duplexes more spare than trailer homes are nowadays, I just read the comics in the newspaper.
Basically I lived on a street where we kids’ families were so broke we would just put all our toys together in a pile in one kid’s covered porch and share. Our moms did similar with our clothes and shoes. There wasn’t a concept of “my toys”. Just go to the pile and get whatever you want to play with for the day. It was mostly boys on my street, so that’s partly how I ended up a tomboy!
Anyway, nobody put comics into the pile so I didn’t read any. I didn’t know anybody who read comics.
It just never occurred to me to want to read comics because I’d never seen any, though my dad spoke of reading them as a kid in the 1950’s. I don’t even know where they might have been sold when I was growing up.
I guess I missed out, huh? I know people now who grew up reading them and they sound like they got transported to a magical world.
Getting back to the show, I don’t know if the second couple is more PG because we fast forwarded past the love scenes. But I just think they’re better matched.
It was tough watching Raych and Gaal because we all thought Gaal was only 16. The actress just looks so young! She was carrying herself with a demeanor that was very young, too. Also we didn’t see how they progressed into a romantic relationship. It was just boom! There it is!
At least with the second couple, it’s indicated they were continuing a pre-existing relationship and both parties appear as adults
I’m going to assume there’s a plot driven reason for the relationship. Unless we are all mistaken, Gaal and Raych had an embryo that was stored. Surely that offspring will have some part to play in the story.
I’m also going to assume there’s some significance to Brother Dusk/Dark’s remarks that something isn’t right about the baby who is now Brother Dawn.
I can’t wait to see what happens next. I’m also following all the Marvel shows on Disney. We also went back and watched Agent Carter. Next we will back fill and watch Agents of Shield.
LOL, yep, comics are just not eh comics. Some comics are America's great literary masterpieces, well some are but not all
Raych and Gaal are of age I'm sure, she's just short and looks younger. You should take in consideration the society she grew up in and how her parents must've shielded her in someway for her protection. Plus, she had the eh hots for him as soon as she saw him. Raych and the society he grew up in was totally different than her's. Maybe their thing seemed like a boom because it was kept secret until their love scene.
The second couple I thought were more mature.
Oh yeah, Brother Dusk remark was something and sure the Android knows. Then we see him(Dawn) getting rid of the artwork on the walls.
The only Disney series I looked at was Loki and it was better than I thought it would be.
I did watch Agents of Shield on and off for a few seasons.
While you are on a Marvel kick, don't forget the movie that put Marvel on the map, Blade.
